I get captchas on a lot of websites when I use a VPN. On the VPN, it’s impossible to solve the captcha, it just keeps repeating. The only way to pass the captcha is to turn off the VPN.
I’m using a lot of archive sites lately.

Civility had been in a downward trend since public discourse became mostly anonymized. When there are no real world consequences it’s easy to be rude and dismissive. Then, once people saw that the rudest and most dismissive tactics were the most popular online, the same behavior spread offline.

This is just poor engineering. They could save money by using jam nuts.

This helped me in the past, and of a good place to start.

You again? GET OUT OF MY CAR!

Your question presupposes that everyone is a Christian, and it takes a conscious effort to reject that. It my be hard for you to see it, but that’s a problem with your worldview.

There have been too many data breaches from cloud-based services to trust another one. I have a Proton account for email and online storage, but I won’t use their password service because it’s cloud based.
https://blog.lastpass.com/posts/notice-of-recent-security-incident
Lastpass leaked their password database in 2022, and bad actors are still using it to access peoples files, stealing passwords and hundreds of thousands of dollars in crypto.
DON’T trust anything important to cloud-based storage or services. Use Keepass. Use Syncthing if you need to keep the database on multiple devices.
(I see other comments using Dropbox. Dropbox = cloud. Don’t store anything security related in the cloud.)

Exactly. Windham isn’t going to do anything until you make it inconvenient for them to ignore you. Do whatever you can think of to be a nuisance with the information they send you.
The desperate hope that a “good guy with a gun” will show up and rescue us like they promised.

We are a LOT farther away than 5 years. What you see right now is a lot of hype from venture capitalists over chatbots.
I think any real AGI will have to have some kind of reasoning ability, and I don’t see any sign of that in current AI.

…I’m listening…

Who is Jerma, and why does his crap clog my YouTube feed? Except it’s not Jerma’s stuff, but people making videos about Jerma.

Donald J. Trump pardoned The Silk Road guy, who was responsible for a non-zero amount of opioid sales on the dark web.

Is this quantum-resistant?

I have prescription sunglasses, and occasionally forget I’m wearing them. But I try not to wear them in a store.

There is a local “rock” station I started listening to when I moved into the area. Their playlist was limited, and I quickly realized they would play the exact same songs at almost the exact same time every day. I think the weekend was the only time I ever heard any recent music.
I drove a lot, so I subscribed to XM. That was super nice, but pretty soon I noticed the same thing. I switched channels a lot, then started listening to a talk channel because I tired of the same songs. (O&A, Ron & Fez, fuck you Anthony you racist piece of shit…)
I dumped XM, started listening to podcasts. And I expanded my music library 10-fold through the wonders of privateering.
Recently I was outside at lunchtime, and someone was sitting in their car listening to that same old local “rock” station. And they are still playing the same garbage songs at pretty much the same exact time every day.

A VPN won’t be useful because you’ll have to login to the Usenet server. But (someone please tell me if I’m wrong) I’ve never heard of anyone getting busted downloading stuff from newsgroups.

If you don’t find a solution for this, there is an app on the play store named
Bluetooth Audio Connect Widget
It lets you create widgets for your Bluetooth devices that can connect/disconnect with just a tap of the widget.
I’ve got some bad news…
