i thought the sloptuber title was funny tbh. 5-10 fps over windows isnt exactly like, mind numbing, but its cool to see the tests

Privacy@lemmy.ml•Is it possible to have a full install of Windows 11 on thumb drive?
1·4 days agoi tried it and it borked my linux partition, im a pretty advanced user it was some bizarre thing that windows does even if you do your best to avoid hitting your linux partition.
always back up your files before doing something like this

And then you have the ShareX developer, using a screenshot of an AI response to respond to a GitHub issue.
based sharex dev, every foss dev should be legally allowed to shoot one issue creator each year

4·13 days agoSo I actually killed my previous linux distro using hirens bootcd, and the firmware update didnt work for whatever strange reason but windows inserted random shit into my partition on boot which required a full reinstall of my distro. maybe phoenix pe would work idk, i’ll see if a laptop can handle it

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•If you could erase one event from human history, what would it be and why?
3·14 days agoLast time I heard about it, it was being reviewed cause the genetic diversity in Africa is too high to support that claim. The bottleneck may be related only to a part of the human population.
well, theres also the argument that other species of genus homo gave us more genetic diversity after that event
nitrux doesnt use it afaik

13·14 days agoI think security wise linux can do better, I’d like to see more isolation of processes. I find accessibility is lacking as well, particularly translation and ocr software. I think this is actually something local visual ai models would be very good at but are not leveraged for in open source.

I love vanadium but it’s AdBlock is very subpar I wish they would lift shields from brave
Also it’s a matter of trust. If you trust mullvad you are still only trusting them by keeping the DNS unified

its what it was originally but youtube has a way for vids to swap out less attractive titles automatically for alternate titles
