Firefox does collect and share some data with its partners, Mozilla said, including data that helps to power its optional ads on the New Tab page in the browser and for sponsored suggestions in the search bar, which are detailed in its Privacy Notice. However, the company says that the user data it does share is stripped of personally identifying information and is only shared in aggregate.
Users can continue to adjust their own data-sharing settings in the browser, Mozilla also said.
Personally, this doesn’t compel me to stop using Firefox.
I certainly understand where you are coming from. If time tells that they’re disingenuous then I’ll move to a fork or something else entirely.
I’ve been using Firefox since its inception. I just want to wait until the dust settles before I decide what to do.

Mozilla often shutters projects due to funding constraints or lack of adoption as well as had recent cuts to its internet advocacy staff.
Isn’t this different though? According to this web page it appears that this is a conglomerate.
This sounds like a conspiracy theory but I’d like to know more.
