I’m so excited to see Sp*rs try extra hard against City just so they can prove that they didn’t roll over for City. Of course, if they lose I’ll accuse them of doing it anyway :)

Man, I almost feel like they will out of spite for us beating them and to disrupt our push for the title xD

We can only hope they put in a performance to try qualify for CL

Some obnoxious fans will celebrate if City win but the idea that any of their players are going to throw is nonsense.

You would think so. I would hate to think our players would do the same thing just to spite Spurs.

Sounds great in theory and as a joke, but I would be appalled on moral and ethical grounds if Arsenal threw a match just to affect a rival team

I can’t find anything specific that says you’re not allowed to throw/sandbag, etc. but I think the 6th bullet of the Owner’s Charter would allow the league to punish them:

“We understand the importance of a football pyramid that rewards success on the pitch, upholds promotion and relegation and qualification for other competitions by current sporting merit.”

I think some people forget that these are athletes that have had one word seared into their brains since they were 5 - “WIN”.
