Lucas Perez today scored a goal to take his hometown Deportivo back to La Liga 2. What a guy. Still mind-boggling that he straight up went from La Liga to tier 3 pretty much voluntarily.

I wake up and see the Viv news.

Gosh I saw it coming but it’s still sad, I’m sad that she couldn’t win it all with us. The campaigns were a bit disappointing, that and she never fully recovered from her injury. But the club not even offering a new contract is kinda ugh.

I’ll absolutely hate it when I see her in City blue. I’ll hate it.

Cannot actually fucking believe this club. Who the fuck lets her go like that. not even offering her a contract to see if she can regain form with one more season. Absolutely fucking shit decision.

I mean it kind of was there as she only signed for another year. Jonas can’t seem to reintegrate her and she had a setback.

I’m also just wondering if Beth will follow her to Manchester.

Should’ve been one more. She was literally just returning from an ACL plus had other injuries. You simply do not let go someone as good as her without trying everything you can. The fact that Manchester City is linked with her speaks volumes — a club that actually knows what they’re doing in management, ffs.

Spurs fans not even interested in getting CL money which would literally help them strengthen their squad for next season. The small club mentality is hilarious.

Spekaing of which, according to Swiss Ramble our European revenue has increased from 26.2M to 93M (albeit we made it to the QFs this year as opposed to the Ro16 last year). The Champions League basically bought Havertz.

That video making the rounds of Old Trafford away locker room leaking water…this is a multimillion dollar publicly traded football club folks 😂 (though tbf I too work for a publicly traded multimillion dollar corporation and half the shit don’t work either 😂

How do we know for sure it was a genuine water leak and not just a deluge of United fans’ tears being collected and redirected via the away changing room?

Side note: Apparently Old Trafford is now famous for problems with the roof leaking during storms, due to years of negligent maintenance from the Glazers. So I could see there being legitimate water leaks in the changing rooms too.

Tbf, might be genuinely intentional to not fix it — making the away experience as bad as possible is generally tactically advantageous lol.

I love the man. He brings me different kinds of joy whenever I watch him play. When he wins with his antics it’s hilarious, when he does stuff like this it’s hilarious

That’s what I’ve been wondering too, about any striker we bring in.

My guess is that Arteta will play one or the other based on the specific opposition. For some matches Kai’s false 9 style will work great. For other matches an out and out striker will work better.

But then, we all know how reluctant Mikel is to mix things up that radically, so… I don’t really know!

A GD gap of 3 now. If they get a draw, they’re still likely to win on GD.

Considering that City drawing one (+0), winning one, and us winning vs Everton (+1) means that they’ll have 1 match to outscore us by (at least) 4 to overcome the GD difference (they have scored more goals than we have, so they only have to match us)… yeah, that’s a weird take.

It depends on the opposition they face.

They have Spurs and West Ham? I think the Spurs players will make a good go of it, so hopefully it will be close (ideally a draw or a loss for Man City).

As for West Ham, it depends which version of that Jekyll-and-Hyde team shows up. On their day they can be dangerous. Not on their day they concede a metric ton of goals.

Everton can be tricky too, and it seems like they are in decent form. But it’s at our place, which will be rocking. Hopefully we can slam several goals past Pickford.

I agree, I don’t think it’s likely that City will catch our goal difference. But it’s quite possible. Maybe 50/50, but with a lot of wild card variables.
