I genuinely disagree that he doesn’t bring enough, especially as a second-third choice. He’s not great but he’s worth the 20m, especially given the dearth of strikers on the market.

Plus it’s Euros, not even pounds. You’re telling me that that’s not worth it when the likes of Jhon Duran go for double?

The market feels that a fit and available Nketiah isn’t worth as much as an ESR recovering from injury. He had 6 goal contributions last season. It’s hard to sell that.

Yeah he tends to go on nice little runs when we have an injury up front too. He could be more clinical, and he absolutely has times where he offers not much, but he’s shown he can step up as a backup. For a position where we don’t even have a clear number 1, we sure can’t ask for a world class number 3.

In saying that, if his sale will help fund a pickup like gyokeres, guirassy, or oh my days osimhen, while they’re unproven in the prem I’d say it’s probably worthwhile.

You can disagree, but it’s not me saying that, it’s Arteta. There’s a reason Havertz got ahead of Nketiah and there’s a reason that we’re not linked with similar strikers. We need someone that is equally comfortable playmaking as they are scoring.
