Not new but hopefully improved. I’m adding a Notes column to indicate things like penalties, own goals, and red cards to add some context to matches. As usual, feedback is always welcome!

I have a ton of hidden columns that tot up things like xG/A under/overperformance, etc. so maybe halfway through the season I’ll open that up as well.

Fuck Kavanaugh. That is all.

So even with this weekends disappointment we are 2 points ahead of last year. Helps soften the blow.

It’s true, I was a little surprised. I’d blocked out the pain of Villa doing the double over us. Obviously we shouldn’t lose to Brighton at home but beating Villa against the run of play will be important. We can’t always deserve to win.

I acknowledge that the manner in which we dropped points was really frustrating, but Brighton aren’t the worst team to drop points to at the end of the day. 3 points gained away at Villa is more good than a 2 points lost hosting Brighton is bad. Thanks for posting, should be an interesting season.

I think we’re going to see more of this as we go on. Clive from AV said something like “if we want to improve on last season, we have to turn losses into draws and draws into wins”. Well, I can 100% see us conceding three or four playing with 10 men against Brighton for an entire half and dropping all three points. It hurts, because I’m pretty sure we didn’t get a single red last season, but I highly doubt anyone other than City will keep a clean sheet against us, and that gives us a fighting chance to draw/win.
