Honestly when you look at the actual signings, it’s not as bad as the totals portray. But despite that, it’s not good enough. Also I think putting Rice as a left 8 is disingenuous. Havertz as a striker is also a bit of a stretch given he was purchased as a left 8.

doesn’t mean much given it ignores what we started with and what other teams have spent, IMO. In fairness, I think Rice has probably played about as many games at left 8 as at 6, and Havertz at striker similar thing. I mean if you were talking about what they were purchased as White should be a CB lol.
