His injury record is heartbreaking both from a personal and Arsenal perspective. He seems like such a good guy, and he’d be so goddamn useful to plug all the injury holes in the XI. Who else could have set up that Martinelli goal against City :(

If Newcastle don’t get CL, the scuttlebutt is that it’ll be open season on him. Journos have hinted that Liverpool might be interested in addition to us, but I don’t buy it - they don’t splash that kind of cash on players and they also normally keep their business extremely close to their chests.
Will be an interesting summer. Just hope we’re decisive.
I hope we learn from the Declan saga: pick a number that’s actually the maximum we’re willing to pay, plonk it down with minimal clause faffing about (the day after the transfer window opens would be nice, Andrea), and if/when they say no, pivot immediately and stop thinking about him. I either want to see him in training photos by August or never hear his name again.
