Cloud-based web application platform Vercel is among the latest companies to find their servers blocked in Spain due to LaLiga’s ongoing IPTV anti-piracy campaign. In a statement, Vercel’s CEO and the company’s principal engineer slam “indiscriminate” blocking as an “unaccountable form of internet censorship” that has prevented legitimate customers from conducting their daily business.
Here’s the CEO of Vercel kissing Trump’s ass.
Maybe he can ask daddy Trump to help fix things (actually, Trump would probably revoke his citizenship and deport him).
I honestly don’t care. You guys continue to bring up political opinions as some sort of “slam dunk” against supporting something objectively. Supporting trump is obviously a bad move, but blocking internet services in a moronic attempt of “lets stop piracy!!!” is also bad.
Am I crazy for thinking this? Separating art from the artist, yeah? Seems like Lemmy has completely lost its fucking marbles. This has happened so many times.
I chose to stop supporting a fascist wannabe with my wallet and moved all of my sites to Render. Vercel shouldn’t be blocked with such a reckless move and LaLiga is wrong, but I’ve washed my hands of letting the other stuff slide.
No you aren’t, the tactic that @orca@orcas.enjoying.yachts And many others are using here is called Tu quoque and it is a logical fallacy.
