The only reason why we all used third party apps for Reddit, is because their app and website is abhorrent trash. It’s great to have a choice, but Lemmy’s website is smooth to use. I know it’s mind blowing not to use a app for everything in 2023 but Lemmy just works.
Commenting from Kbin on Firefox, where I have to rotate my phone to landscape orientation to read full comments. If I keep it in portrait, some comments will randomly run off the side of my view, and zooming out doesn’t help.
It’s not perfect. I’m very much hanging in there until some sort of upgrade comes along. Lemmy.world has been unable to get me signed in, so there’s that.
Did you purposely make your comment long to serve as an example? Because it runs right off the side of my screen lol
Ha! I wasn’t trying for that outcome, but it sure worked! Even for me reading my own comment, it runs off the screen
Hmm that’s weird, I use the kbin site in Firefox on my pixel 5 and haven’t had this happen anywhere
Same here on a lower end Samsung, it’s fine. IMHO I also think if people flock to apps for just a UI, it can take away some of the motivation to improve a site.
I’m on the Samsung s22, I’m assuming it has something to do with the smaller than average screen
