I love everything about wanderer, just wish that you could look at trails on a full-screened map on mobile. Currently pulling up the trail will provide a small map inside the webpage for you to see the trail, which on desktop works great, but mobile it feels like the map should be the more important aspect (similar to apps like osm, all trails and gaiagps). Because of this I am mostly using it as a database to then download the trail and open it in osm.

I know YouTube will rate thumbnails and tell you how the thumbnail is doing. I believe they also uploaded a feature where you can upload multiple and it will attempt to change them to see which works best. I see this a lot with Minecraft YouTubers (mostly Grian). It seems to be less trying to trick previous viewers and more so getting the highest rating in the YouTube panel. I think it is partially bs, as there are times I’ll scroll past a video not wanting to watch it at the exact moment and it seems like YouTube takes that as being a bad thumbnail.

I think Neon puts out a lot of good stuff. Generally a bit of a darker tone (not always) with their films, but still quality.

From what I recall it has to do with encoding and how the data stored references the following frame but not previous. Still seems like some engineering could be done to solve, so it it’s not as simple as “current Frame–”

I’ve got a 4a (bought on release) and it has been my favorite phone. Not a huge power user so it’s a good small device that has the features I want (fingerprint, 3.5 Jack). My biggest gripe is something I think Google changed sometime before the 4a, and that’s their is no HDMI over USB possible with Pixel devices. From what I can tell the only reason they did this was to sell Chromecasts. The main issue is I watch horror movies on a projector with some friends while camping(no Wi-Fi or data so Chromecast doesn’t work). The software on the projector has poor support for different codecs so ideally I’d use VLC on my phone and have no issue, but I cant. Pretty niche scenario there but I think it’s a sign of how modern phones have slowly been taking away useful features for seemingly no reason. Makes me not want to get a Google phone again.
