There was a short lived candybar called PB Max that I’ve been craving for like the last 20 years. It actually tasted like peanut butter which, despite my love for peanut butter cups, just completely outdid them for peanutty goodness.

the garage. I was 6 or 7, my mom was undergoing a major health situation and the medication wasn’t doing her mental processes any favors. One morning she was running late and so asked me to start her car. I’d never started a car in my life, I had no idea what to do and I couldn’t reach the pedals so I asked my younger sibling to help out. I stayed on the floor and operated the pedals, my sibling was in charge of the key.

mind you, this was a stickshift and it was parked in the driveway, facing the garage door.

I have no idea what we actually did, I only remember the crashes as we went through the garage door and through the back wall. The front of the car now blocking the alley, we yanked the key ran to hide because we had just taken down a fucking building ruined mom’s new car, and thought we were going to be killed. Of course she instantly realized what happened and knew that she was at fault so when she found us we were of course in no trouble; but man, what a ride that was…

Oh, in was just trying to make a joke but of course I’m with you. I’ve never been much of a believer myself but I’ve always tried to live as best I can just in case :)

and if you want to be taken seriously you should rethink your sentences. similar arguments can be made about Apple, that they for example are one of the only players out there (along with Mozilla) to provide an alternate rendering engine. google’s control of the internet is hugely impacted by chrome and android is one of the pillars of that foundation.

Point is, they both have issues but to some (myself included) I do believe that my privacy and security is better served by Apple, despite the walled garden.

between the antichrist parallels, the world unexplainably heating up and an ongoing war in Israel, I’m starting to look forward to all the chucklefucks getting raptured.

while he will certainly lose the popular vote, he and the cult are busy setting the stage for Jan. 6th round 2. every trick to steal it will be tried and by how feckless our judicial system has been, I have very little hope of our institutions holding this time.

it’s got to be an epic, undeniable drubbing, else we’re all wearing red hats this time next year.

Thanks for the reply. I kinda get some of the concern with the proposed bans, I do think there has been some misguided attempts. From a non-gun owner’s perspective though, I’ve never really thought they seemed fatal to the hobby, just an annoyance more or less and the sort of thing that with sane legislation would work itself out over time. I mean, I’m a car guy but I’ve made peace with the fact that we won’t see popup headlights ever again…

Same with the handgun thing, but like regulations on other things, over time effectivity will win out and sensibility may be found. Maybe I’m too hopeful though.

serious question, why does it hurt? I’m not a gun owner but I don’t see much that the left is doing that is actually endangering your rights. I do see a lot of fearmongering from the right but as far as I can tell it’s entirely bloviating. I mean, the bluest of blue areas still have extremely liberal gun laws and what I see being proposed from the left is more or less common sense reforms. Obviously there are outliers but I don’t see that agenda having much success. In fact, I have some very strong gun rights friends who are entirely and proudly progressive.

it drives me nuts, I’ve got formerly lefty friends who drifted right due to disillusionment with their pet issue. one began their drift via the antivax movement, their personal grudge against the medical system has them now embracing every far right conspiracy out there. so yeah, I believe folks find what they seek, and those who are doing the pulling have figured out the exact temperature of smoke to blow up people’s asses.

Nah, talking about the chimp guy. 2nd term could have had a talking sandwich and have the same results. Having had relatives who went through the same though, I have zero belief that he was in control of his faculties for the entire first term.
