  • I joined after the shitstorm that Reddit made the community go trough. It’s a worse website now because of the changes to the API where they now take money for using it. They now have to charge the user for using their apps. Basically making it easy for me to stop using reddit entirely.

Tip for you guys that still want to use an app but don’t know about it: geddit is a free app that scrape RSS to let you browse reddit. I’ve used it more and more to get used to it. It’s pretty good but since it doesn’t use rhe API you can’t comment or bookmark stuff. You can however watch NSFW stuff but it doesn’t work that well compared to how Relay for instance did it back when apps where allowed to show NSFW content…

  • Hello devs of Lemmy! I was wondering if you’re going to improve the privacy of Lemmy as a whole, and make sure that it don’t violate the GDPR. For instance what happens when a user deletes their account? The GDPR gives the right to the users to be forgotten (don’t mistake this with the right to erase everything, a forum is allowed to have the data that the user has written as long as it’s not sensitive, including name etc). I’ve seen posts where users are reporting that their account is not deleted when pressing the delete account button in the settings page. There is very little information about this.

The point being that the user name should be erased when someone deletes their account.

Would be great to have answers about this. And if you can also anwser some general about what you’re going to improve privacy going forward.

    Thanks!

  • Everything that Bong Joon Ho has ever made. I’ve recently watched Mother (2009) and Memories of Murder (2003) and after watching these, including Parasite, I’ve got to say he is one of my favorite directors. He is just amazing.

Also I’ve got to say that some of my favorite movies are korean movies. They got some amazing horror movies like I Saw The Devil. I’m going to continue watching them as they are amazing at what they do.
