Late to the game but it was DnD night for me! Nearly lost a party member but our cleric pulled a revivify! (Honestly with the diamond requirement, we pulled some shenanigans to get it to work but the DM was chill about it). But @ 2300 hrs, the fucking bad guy came back with a second health bar and like all of us are tapped for spells and potions, so we’ll see next session who actually makes it out! Got my second character set up already!

He wants to send his daughters to school in a place where they’re not only being valued for their wombs. Where they’re looked at as being equal contributors to their field of study. Where they’re provided opportunities the same as every other scholar there, and not assumed to be in college to find a husband.

And, yes, there is a bit of “if they get into trouble will they have options?” At play I’m sure as well.

I mean, it’s still a place I’d tell people to go visit. The bars/restaurants are awesome, and the (not so distant) history is sobering. I found the Stasi museum hella interesting/terrifying.

My friend and I just assumed he could tell we were American and didn’t want to serve us. We didn’t stick around to ask. And he didn’t tell us off or to leave or anything, but just more blatantly ignored us.

Like I said, overall still good time. Everyone else was nice and happy enough to chat/serve us (or at least appeared to be lmao)

I’m white af, but, as an American, I didn’t get treated as rudely anywhere else in Germany than Berlin. Still had a great time overall in the city, but, not really in a rush to go back.

My friend and I were standing at a bar mulling over the menu, just kind of murming to one another over what drinks we wanted while we were waiting for the bartender to finish up with his other customers. It wasn’t busy, but he was attending to other people. When he was finally done, he approached us and I said “Hi how are you?” with a smile. He didn’t say a single word to us, just took the menus from in front of us and put them on the back shelf, and then turned away.

So we left. Our money clearly wasn’t good enough there, and we spent it in another bar across the alleyway instead.

So I would swap between leftovers, and then my quick lunch would be 2 hardboiled eggs, some babybel or string cheese, and then some kind of fruit.

Minimal cooking, easy clean up, easy to take with you.

2 eggs, 2 cheese, and a banana is surprisingly filling.

I visited a brewery in Germany that was mined out of the bottom of a volcano. It was pretty fucking chilly underground there even in the dead of summer, so maybe that’s where they kept it?

Idk, I showed up to the wrong tour and I only know like 3 words in German so I had zero idea what was happening 98% of the time.

Just this morning, I popped awake, threw on some YT drama videos for background noise, and just played CD for like an hour and a half before I was like “Time to be productive”. Good easy start to a Sunday.

That being said, I saw further down you try not to spend money on the mobile games. I went through a phase in 2019/2020 where I was fucking massively into a Chinese dating Sim game called “Mr Love Queens Choice.” I spent $850 over the course of 2 years. It was a great game and I had a ton of fun, but there was a point where I crossed into a bonus tier that you could only get to by spending a certain dollar amount. And then I was like “Oh. Oh no boo boo what is you doin’?!”.

Ma’am, the way that the letters A/S/L took me BACK! 😂

And hell yeah, personal project gamedev does sound way more fun! It’s always the passion projects that keep us going, right?

Hello and Happy International Women’s Day! I hope yours is going awesome, and your day off work is hella restful! Although, gamedev defo sounds like work to me!

I too am a lady type on the internet! I’ve never really hidden that though as I grew up a HELLA nerdy Millenial. I’ve had the internet in my hizzy since grade school and I cut my teeth on things like HarryPotter.com and GaiaOnline. Cutesy nerdy spaces. However, on the anonymous spaces, people assume I’m a dude on the reg. I usually just let it go. It’s likely why I haven’t experienced the toxicity to the same level that other ladies unfortunately have.

That being said, this weekend I’m hoping to be productive as hell with some yard work, and chilling out with some Cyberpunk as it’s my latest obsession. And I’m definitely not cooking tonight!

Because I’m food motivated though…whatchu thinking about for take out?

I’m still holding out hope for a few of the Democratic nominees.

I’m mostly holding out hope for Allred to unseat Cruz. I think if just that much happens, the tides may start to shift slightly in Texas.

He turned a deep red district in Dallas blue in 2018, and he’s retained popular support there. Of course, this is just me being optimistic and hopeful.

I’m sure something will come on the news within the next week to remind me how much I hate this state and that the US should just throw the whole thing away (actually the entire SE US would be nice to cut off like a cancer).

Tbf, I’m sure actual real deal Canadian Maple Syrup is also on a whole other level.

With that being said tho, I never order any of these while I’m out to eat either because all of it in the US is low quality garbage oversaturated with sugar.

I always thought I disliked waffles until I was drunkenly peer pressured into ordering one in Brussels. Ugh. So good!

In our current campaign, that’s what my husband does with his rogue buddy.

They are constantly giving each other advantage, firing off a shot, and then hiding. It’s very effective.

Meanwhile I’m clumsily muddling through as a Druid because I wanted to venture out and try something new, because I usually go for a simple Fighter. I am not good at strategizing my spells 😂
