Honestly I fell asleep playing the game… Twice.
There’s just something that makes me so bored.

My coworker plays those F2P games on her phone and she has shared that she’s felt guilty that she played this game for like 500 hours and haven’t spent anything, and considers throwing them $5-10 bucks a month.
She’s also the kind of person who has like 8 tv subscriptions.
The game is pretty good as of now. Not great. Not something I’ll play for a long time. But def solid 30+ hours of action RPG.
And absolutely not something where I’d spend any money on a fucking hat for my character.
Having a IRA or 401k.
I’m 40 and the amount of people who kinda know what a IRA is is terrifying. Like, you’re gonna die in poverty.
That was what I thought five years ago. I was on the verge of removing it, and the android Facebook app killed my phone’s battery, so delete it went.
And suddenly all my family drama stopped and if someone needs to get in touch with me, how surprising that they still found a way.
My wife loved the idea that I was into wood cutting. What she didn’t realize was when I said woodcutting, I meant I studied the blade and practiced chopping wood with my anime sword.
¥1590/month.
Rough $11/month in freedom dollars. That’s not bad!
Still pricey for a solo use. What is your use cases? Lurking or a frequent poster?
I switched to Linux a few years ago and you are not wrong.
Windows is a nightmare with directory organization.

Why don’t you want to vote for the felon rapist who has a history of racist comments and has taken money from corporations and foreign government over the Cop lady?
I did a informal survey at work a few months ago where we as a team play archery or play bowling. And 100% of the women staff said archery and then talked about Hunger Games.
My guess is listening to bro podcasts and bro websites.
Hell yeah tell your husband to keep rocking on.
Hasn’t he heard? Collecting cards are cool now with a huge community, and bonus points he has an amazing partner who loves his confidence.

Harebrained games made the very excellent Shadowrun games.
I’m not familiar with their other offerings. Honestly I just wished they made more Shadowrun games.
They shut off the Crew 2 and even planned on deleting the game from people’s libraries. They’ve added micro transactions to (I think) every single Ubisoft game in the last decade. They were pro NFTs and wanted it rolled out to games. Their Ubisoft launcher. Toxic and sexist environment.
Every few years, they make a better Assassins Creed or Far Cry that moves the open-world genre forward. But that’s the only positive thing I can say.

Y’all remember Pidgin?
That proggie was the bomb for all your AOL, ICQ, MSN, etc so you can keep up with your homies while you update your live journal.
So… everyone instead just went to Bluesky and Threads where sign-up links were provided rather than directory links and manifestos.
Wild! This was my exact thought as I was signing up for Mastadon. I spent like 15 minutes figuring out what Mastadon is, what server to join, what each server means. Then I did the thing like I did with Lemmy and created half a dozen accounts waiting to see which server gave me my “Account Created” email first.
Doing minor “crime” in school was how I became a programmer!
Torchlight could have been great. I’m still annoyed.
