I mean, it’s just describing pure schadenfreude. It doesn’t speak to how deserving the victim is. It could easily be interpreted as a defense of Trump, in this context. Given the upvotes, though, I don’t think that’s where people are going with it.

Oh, noes! There’s only like a billion other instances you can access it from.
What I’d like to know is if any episode of Popeye took place on a Tuesday. Was Wimpy ever paying up for all those burgers? It may be an apt comparison despite their contrasting levels of spelling ability. Then again, Bluto seems like the more obvious Trump analog.
It’s because Epic bought the Rocket League devs, Psyonix, in 2019. In 2020, they pulled it from Steam, to drive traffic to the Epic store. And yes, it’s also free to play now, but you still can’t get it on Steam, unless you bought it there before they pulled it. If you did, it still works fine on Steam today.
Lothar of the Hill People
That’s pretty great. I’ve known a few Captains that would probably do this. They really are the spec 4’s of commissioned officers. Cool Majors are harder to find, but exist. LTC and above, good fucking luck.
I really thought there should have been a dialogue option along the lines of:
Uhh… could you maybe put your disguise back on? I’m really not into… tentacles.
And seriously, how insanely presumptuous is it of that mf to think that you would be, smh.
Hey don’t look at me, I’m out here fucking mindflayers
…Not that there’s anything wrong with that!
Yeah, you’re right, and I’ve definitely taken advantage of this strategy. There are some encounters that seem to be hard-coded to not let you do this, like the occasional conversations that don’t let you switch characters.
From a realistic perspective, enemy sight lines shouldn’t be fixed straight ahead during combat; naturally they would look around occasionally, and try to maintain some kind of situational awareness. Intelligent enemies, at least, should follow this pattern.
Gameplay-wise, I’m not sure how you’d square that with characters that are sneaking in turn-based mode. If vision cones continue to operate in real-time, they’re going to be screwed. Maybe the key to fixing this isn’t sightlines, but hearing? I’m not sure how enemy noise-detection works in the game, but there does seem to be some mechanism in place. You definitely shouldn’t be able to waltz up to them in full plate without triggering combat. I would think your approach should trigger a super easy reaction roll to detect you before you get close enough to hit them.
Yeah, I had the same experience with longswords.
I’d say it’s about on par, in that the (bad guy) endings both feel kind of unsatisfying, largely because you don’t get a chance to enjoy any of the power you’ve nominally seized. Obviously there are plot reasons for this, but it ends up making the victories feel a bit hollow.
I don’t know if Larian ever had plans to implement class-based stronghold quests à la BG2, but some of the origin character quest lines seem well suited for it. If I had my druthers, there’d be ways for players to take over and run places like the Emerald Grove, House of Grief, maybe the Circus of the Last Days. Could be good expansion fodder, but I haven’t read anything yet about whether they’re working on one.
I killed the Nightsong, and was able to persuade most of the Sharrans in the temple to join me; only had to fight Viconia and a handful of supporters. Shar tells Shadowheart to kill her parents to cement her loyalty, after which she will take away her memory of doing it.
Would you care to expand on this? My impression is that he did what he did out of ethical concerns, and has paid a high price for it.
