That’s the first Android phone, the HTC Dream (or TMobile G1). I loved this phone, even if it was chronically underpowered.
New account since lemmyrs.org went down, other @Deebster

Bad wording on my part, I wasn’t disagreeing. My file server has a /files directory because it saves me a few key strokes and because I can.
Is Gobo case-insensitive by default? Typing those seems annoying.
That’s an old image, though - Windows has a C:\Users\youruser setup like /home/youruser for a while now.
I find the %APPDATA% thing way less convenient than ~/.config and I’m quite happy when programs have the “bug” that they still use ~/.config on Windows.
I like that idea of using the different fonts for e.g. Copilot suggestions - reminds me of reading Asterix comics as a kid when they’d use gothic black for the Goth’s speech, etc.
edit: e.g.
There’s kroki as well, which includes Mermaid, Excalidraw, GraphViz, PlantUML, etc.
Well yeah, you need to do the computation somewhere and it’s not doing it on the server so…
Ah bollocks, another trusted voice silenced. Now it’ll be that slight bit harder to find a review that isn’t just parroting stuff from the press release.
Ah, I didn’t know that - thanks
What connection do Chromebooks have to Android? I thought ChromiumOS was based on Gentoo Linux.
Yup, I think a lot of people just use their web browser for everything, and they can definitely just switch. Outside of work, how many non-techies have set up their email to use a native program? Very few, in my experience.
I think documents are sometimes the exception, since there’s a sizable (perhaps older) group that like to use Word for everything.
Oh, that’s LAN - I thought you’d put ian and I was trying to get the joke. Stupid sans-serif fonts.
Do you want something that runs on your NAS or from another computer? What OS(es) are you using?
Thunderbird on desktop, although I don’t love it.
FairEmail on Android.
Nope, I was contrasting SG1 with Star Trek, which has filmed in the Bronson Canyon uncountable times (actually, I’m sure someone has counted).
I know how federation works, but look at the network inspector and you’ll see you’re pulling a lot of images from Cloudflare-proxied sites (or you’re missing a lot, if you’ve blacklisted them).
Anyway, I only meant that even Lemmy, with its anti-corporate culture, is still heavily using Cloudflare. “Only” 22% is still a lot in my book.
I’m interested as to your motives - are you doing this as a boycott, and/or to protect your privacy (or similar)? Also, are you blocking domains one-by-one, or are doing something like using firewall rules?
If you’re blocking everything that’s proxied via Cloudflare or hosted on Google, the internet must be a very small place for you. I think even a third of Lemmy is behind Cloudflare.
I’d assumed it was servers running on renewable power, although I’m not sure how they measure that. I know some hosting companies and CDNs have that as an option, but I don’t see how you’d know if each server chose that option so I guess it’s more like “servers with green hosting companies”.
Don’t downvote stuff just because you’re not interested in it! There’s no algorithm you’re training, you’re just being rude to people.
Downvotes should be for worthless content and people being dicks.
I had a “T-Mobile MDA Vario II” (HTC TyTN 300) which was similar, and also had a collapsible stylus which lived in a little hole on the bottom. It was Windows Mobile, but it was great having the keyboard fully accessible (without that extra bottom bit the G1 had).
It looked like this, just less German:
