She’s so fucking chill.
She’s so fucking chill.
I ran Endeavour OS for 3 years, and it had a habit of breaking to no return every couple of months. I still liked it, but just got tired of that issue. Cachy OS has been much better
Cachy OS has been treating me very well. Perfect all around. Very helpful people and very nice. I am not going anywhere
Another option. lol
Same here. I run apps in Heroic games launcher
Man, I wanted to try Garuda a couple of weeks ago and the thing would never even boot into the live environment. Went ahead and installed Cachy OS and it’s been great.
I’ve never used any other init system since I’m relatively new to Linux (8 years of use). So, systemd is all I know. I don’t mind it, but I have this one major issue with it. That “stop job for UID 1000…” Or whatever it says. It’s hands down the most annoying thing I have ever experienced in Linux. Making me wait for 3 minutes sometimes is just insane. I know I can go in and make it wait for 5 seconds /etc/systemd/system.conf
or whatever, but why? Also, another one usually pops up.
Other than that, I really like how I can make timers. I like how I can make scripts run on boot, logout or login. And I like how I can make an app a background service that can auto start if they ever crashed. Maybe all of this can be done with other init systems? I wouldn’t know, but I like these in systemd
It’s all a show. Some people are just desperate for attention. “Oh, look at me, I’m OCD” as if that makes them cool or something. This person just spent €100 for literally nothing (glad it went to kde of course). Being annoyed by this is, IMHO, very stupid. It’s a menu that can’t even stay open. Who’s sitting there sifting their menu all day long that this bothers them? 😂
I’ll never understand why this “new/green dot” thing exist, but I’ll also never understand why it would bother anyone. lol. Like, it’s in kick-off. How often are you scrolling through kick-off? Does anyone keep that menu open at all times that it triggers your OCD seeing it? Am I missing something? Or is it just people seeking attention?
This has always been my attitude towards KDE. “At least I have the option”. Gnome is pure depression.
I’ll mess with that actually. There is a mobile app for ssh that I have, so might as well
I haven’t tried SSH. I’ll need to set it up on Bazzite first and then try it. Would it even allow SSH if it’s hanging on a lock screen somewhere?
Nothing shows on the screen. I can’t even get into tty through Ctrl+alt+Fx at all
It doesn’t happen from within games. I’m talking about the whole game mode system when I suspend the system.
Mine already died from old age. Gave me 9 years of use. I am not even mad that it died. lol
That was a nightmare I’ll never recover from. That laptop is now running windows 11. It’s what made me promise myself to never ever touch Nvidia ever again. I’m now all Red on my desktop and life is so much better.
As long as the graphics isn’t that hybrid Nvidia Optimus or whatever the hell they call it, you’re good. That hybrid shit was a nightmare to get working, and it never worked right either.
I do this literally every single day from my Linux machine with no issues. In fact, right before i came to lemmy, I transferred a 120GB game folder from my windows drive to my Linux one.
That’s what I thought. OP made it poetic. I just want to use my PC without distractions and being watched all the time, that’s all.
