A sales person was trying to sell me a timeshare with the ol “only the cost of a cup of coffee per day” tactic. The conversation got real awkward when I told them I couldn’t afford a cup of coffee everyday

When I create a world for the first time it might take a couple minutes, but after the initial creation it’s really quick to load up a game
Who cares what’s popular globally? There are services like bandcamp and SoundCloud that make listening to what isn’t the trending music so easy. If you can’t enjoy something because it’s niche, that is a you problem.
It’s actually come a long way since it first became available. I remember playing 10 years ago and some animals like deer didn’t have walking animations and would hop around the map
They absolutely can without reason. The admins own their servers. Just like a person owns a house. If I don’t want you in my house I don’t have to give you a reason as I kick you out. All that being said, I highly doubt you are being kicked out of multiple instances for no reason.
Anyone who runs a community or their own server SHOULD be able to ban anyone they want. That’s one of the biggest selling points of the fediverse for me. Don’t like how reddit and it’s communities are run? That kinda sucks since there’s not much of an alternative there. Don’t like lemmy.world? Go over to beehaw then. Make whatever subs you miss over there and ban those who try to ruin it for you
+1 for anki. I struggled for years to find anything decent for Swahili and there is more content for Swahili than I got out of Duolingo. One thing I didn’t know about anki until i tried it because I didn’t see anyone mention it, the flashcards can include pictures/videos/audio.
Thanks, I guess I don’t see many from mander out on /all lol
Edit: love the use of y’all’re lmao
Why do I just see your name as Gloomy without the @servername?
To be fair, this happens with the release of every soulslike
The hospital I work is not a trauma hospital, so those types of patients dont come to us, but as far as I understand patients must be alive. Organs become unusable fast.
I’m an orderly in an OR that does organ procurements from donors. The patients are already brain dead or otherwise intubated, but still technically alive. When the doctors open them up and get to where the organs are, there is a brief moment of silence and a prewritten letter in their honor is read aloud. After that they are taken off of life support and the organs are ready to be taken. The most interesting part to me is watching the color fade from their intestines. It’s actually very fast from pink to gray.
Maybe you can use a calender app and set a weekly reminder that goes forever. If you want to add or remove items from it, all future reminders can be edited as well
Reminds me of The Office when Michael Scott implies he brushes his teeth faster than a guy in a wheel chair lol
Even if only 20% of songs made are worth listening to, artists don’t release every song they make
Art Style > Graphics. Kingdom Hearts (2002) looks wildly better GTA: San Andreas (2004) and Fallout 3 (2008).
I love Terry Gilliam’s movies. I always try to recommend Zero Theorem to people who haven’t watched it
For a lot of people, buying a watch IS buying jewelry. However, I do agree with the rest of your comment.
