We really need some global competition in tech. It’s the main reason why I’m rooting for China when I read that they’re developing new consumer tech. Bring some damn competition and hopefully these American tech companies will learn to stop enshitifying their products.

The dismemberment was somewhat pioneering in its day. I remember SOF 2 as one of the first FPS’s to have foliage in its level design. The gunplay and audio was also great for its time. Other notables I remember were Hexen, Heretic and the Jedi outcast / Jedi Academy games.

I have such a soft spot for Raven. I really wish they could break free and make great games again.
