Was I a good processor?
No one ever mentions the MSX. Best of the 8 bit generation as far as I’m concerned, scrolling purists be damned.
Shareholders: you doubled your profit last year, so I expect you to do it again this year.
Hey it’s a free world. You’re welcome to migrate to a different instance. Heck why not run your own? That’s the power of the fediverse. Or just head back to Reddit.
I didn’t realize people’s phones actually broke down in less than 5 years, I thought they just upgraded because they wanted to.
I’ve had my Sony XZ2C since 2018 and I haven’t had any issues. I’m sure the battery must have been better in the past but it easily lasts me the day, so I don’t really notice.
I’d like to see those little city cars added here, those little two seaters that don’t go more than 45kph. Could be a good compromise for lots of people with limited mobility
Congratulations. Of course you understand that come time to eat the rich you’re now on the menu.

Haven’t seen it myself but because Lemmy has a relatively small user base it’s fairly easy to just flood it with content and have a significant portion show up on the front page. If you’re seeing a sudden influx of a specific type of meme, my guess is that’s just someone sending a lot of the same kind of content ar once.
I have ports open (to receive backups from my other servers) but only to connections from specific ip addresses and only port 22 using a pub key (no password) I’d be hesitant to open port 80 to the public though.
Then again I’ve run a small public web server for well over a decade and never had any issues with hackers.

Much as I love TNG, Babylon 5 > Star Trek, don’t bother trying to change my mind.
Apparently people don’t like Nord but a few years ago several privacy sites advocated for them. I wonder what changed.
Don’t worry we only serve “ethical” ads.
I was hoping this was the link and I was not disappointed.
The dark pattern is making the shiny button “accept our spying advertising profiling cookies” and the gray one “go through some obtuse ui that takes 5 clicks to refuse being spied on”
That’s why there’re are different instances. No one can force you to join lemmy.world just like no one can force them to host content they don’t want to host.
Right, gaslighting CEOs not being dicks, that’s the day hell freezes over.
I hate the corporate grind too. So I only work for businesses small enough that I’m on a first name basis with the owner.
It’s all very romantic living in a cabin in the wilderniss but there’s a reason no one that has a choice lives that way.
You can work for your own reasons right now. But you don’t have the right to just grab any piece of land and confiscate it for your own use. There are too many of us for that.
My girlfriend lies on my right arm, so she’s on the right side of the bed and I’m on the left.
