You can search for communities across all federated instances by clicking on “All” in the communities page: https://lemmy.ml/communities?listingType=All
I should note that there’s also the option to simply save a post or comment (the star in the web interface). It can then be found under “Saved” on your user page.
Are you saying that the shopping carts have card readers in Norway?
Every single shopping cart I’ve seen requires you to insert a coin to be unlocked, which you get back when you return it. Do other countries not have that?
Wait until you learn about negative downvotes.
and anti-upvotes
There’s also Forgejo but federation is very WIP. https://codeberg.org/forgejo/forgejo/issues/59
Are you in the All tab? You can also sort by most comments (that doesn’t take recent activity into account, but for that there are other sorts). If you are only finding dead communities, it probably means you have reached the end of lemmy and that there is nothing more to see.
Couldn’t scaled sort or new sort in the all tab already do that? There’s also the community browser. You can sort communities by different criteria there.
What I’m about to say is kind of off-topic for this community, but I remember I did the same thing as a kid, just with rocks. I also became very attached to them, and found it hard to let them go.
When I first started cooking, I never salted my food because I noticed no difference. Now I’ve begun salting food, but it’s generally so much that other people perceive it as oversalted, because only then do I see a difference. Maybe I’m salting too late (since most recipes have it as a last step)? What difference does it make to add salt at the end vs at the beginning?
The first thing I thought of is working on a submarine
That is also something I’ve had some interest in, but besides military (I don’t want to be involved with it in any way), I don’t think there are that many submarines out there.
When I open lemmy, it automatically seems to go to the global screen, but still displays the “subscribed” tab as being selected.
I’m subscribed to neither the piracy, nor the world news nor the gay news communities.
Imagine all the dust from dead skin cells that you’ve accumulated over your entire lifetime, returns to you as skin. I wonder what that would look like.
I didn’t stick around because one of the issues was that if you ended up striking an interesting and wholesome conversation, you’d never meet this person again and this bothered me.
Couldn’t you have offered some permanent contact such as social network profile to remain in contact with that human?
Would failing to deliver CPR be considered a violation of this law?
It was deleted because it was posted to asklemmy.
Minetest is written in C++, and Mineclone is a minetest game. Minetest games and mods are written in Lua.
I don’t see the need for new open source minecraft-like game if we already got minetest.
Why does dumping water out of boots have instructions? Isn’t it like dumping water out of any other container?
