My friend, I fear you are terminally online.
I’m not complaining, I’m stating a fact. Also, the argument “if you can’t find the content you want, you need to make it” is stupid. I can go to YouTube and find content about sealing a concrete patio. I can’t on peertube, so I need to figure out how and make a video on how to do it? That’s stupid.
Same with Loops.
PeerTube needs content more than it needs anything else. There’s no reason to use a mobile app if there is nothing to watch on it anyway.
Time for casual conversation’s yearly migration.
I’ve recently come into the mindset that buying stuff doesn’t make me happy anyway. If it’s something I need, like an oil change, or bike tire, sure I’ll pay for it. But things that I WANT have kind of gone to the wayside. Not because I can’t afford it, but because I’m no happier with more stuff.
Also, fuck these shitty companies squeezing every last dime out of us. I’ll shop at the thrift store for clothes and buy stuff used on craigslist/ebay if I need it.
I’ve found that even if there was someone who would come out and fix things, they charge so much that it’s unreasonable anyway. YouTube has thousands of videos showing how to fix things and using the opportunity to learn to do it on your own is very beneficial long term. But I get it, because I don’t always want to learn.
I don’t know what that means either.
