It is absolutely possible to build infrastructure that is not car centric. Of course, they are always going to be people who need a car to get around but that doesn’t mean that we can’t design cities that don’t require cars.

Well my understanding is that visa, MasterCard ECT. Are far more efficient in terms of energy and transaction time when compared to Bitcoin and Ether. Visa uses about a quarter of the power per 100,000 transactions.
So I would assume that would mean fewer data center computers to cool and therefore less water used per transaction
Assam is delicious. It’s known as the king of teas for a reason.
I feel like I’ve been shilling beeper a lot recently. They may or may not read my messages but at least they open source their inferstructure and contribute to the FLOSS projects they use.
Fair enough. Although if you are interested all of their messaging bridges are available on their GitHub if you would like to self host them with your own matrix server. That way you don’t have to worry about them decrypting and reencrypting your messages.
I recommend getting beeper it’s similar to sunbird although it is paid but they do open source all of their back end infrastructure. Beeper is essentially just a matrix client for a bunch of different chat service bridges.
This is a list of videos that I have complied over the year or so. After I decided that I should make it so that I can send one or two links instead of a dozen. I am going to list out some of the different creator that I decided to curate in this list.
He isn’t small anymore but I loved his work at Vox so I naturally followed him after Borders was canceled. But they really only took off after Borders was canceled. His video is on of the first one’s on my list and it is probably one of my favorite videos that he has made. It’s all about finding the beauty beneath the surface in places where people travel for a cliche. It also has some beautiful drone footage.
Why I Can’t Stop Thinking About This Photo
I Realized that I mentioned Borders a lot so if you are unfamilar Johnny would travel around the world covering border disputes or interesting history. My favourite video was about Hong Kong was beginning to be intergrated into China.
How 156 years of British rule shaped Hong Kong
I feel like nowadays his production value has gone up but it feels less educational. Now it feels like style over substance.
He gives interesting tech talks. This one is by far and away his most popular.

This one is about designing sytems adapt to failure.

Makes funny and informative videos about climate change.

He makes videos on topics that others have not covered in as great of depth. I thoroughly enjoy his videos.
The Fish That (Allegedly) Destroyed California
The only video of his that I have watched is “The Answer is Not A Hut in the Woods” it made me realize that I need to be more patient with my own creative process. This may not count as niche because it has a ton of views but I liked it so much that I think it’s worth bending the rules for.

I have never heard of either of these apps.
