Gotta be honest this was when i was kind of in a rush to finish the game and the density of content began to feel like a drag. It felt like if I wasnt methodical about my approach to the city i would miss something which made exploring the whole area a bit of a chore.

Just because you have an aversion to the word leader doesn’t mean it’s incorrect.

You may play the game in a unique way but i guarantee you are’t moving each character ungrouped/individually your whole playthrough.

The front man is the leader.

Hence follow the leader. They take the lead. Everyone else follows that person when they move.

Better said is that you play the game where you try to mix up the leader.

Thats an odd multiclass i guess it gives you wildshape but not sure why else youd want it.

I get crossclassing into fighter for a level for armor or to rogue for a few for bonus action moves/disengage or for sneak attack. The magic classes seem to not be so favorable to crossclass into though.

He means the character who leads the front. When you play singleplayer there is one character you command and the rest follow behind if they are grouped. That person often is the one hit with dialogue.
