I have a Lemmy world account I log into frequently, I have never seen a threads post here. How would they appear? Or would I only see them on Mastadon
I think they meant Cannon
They might be waiting for the people to finally do something about it. The government is infiltrated with members who put the well beings of very few over the majority of the people. We are improperly raging against the machine

Dude got me side eyeing lasagna, where is that quote from?
That unfortunately could go wrong in several ways I assume.
They have been pushing this since their first year in office. They were pushing this before Biden even thought he would run again for president. “They are only doing things to get people on their side” is also how a Democratic Republic works. Their administration hasn’t broken from Israel, but they aren’t scumbags for doing what the people want. Many of us hate that we did not stop supporting Israel but I still have not seen a poll that shows over 50% of the U.S. wanting to stop supporting Israel. Blame it on news channels, media, propaganda in general, or just peoples outlook, but their job is to represent the majority of U.S. peoples opinions. We need to get more people speaking up against it elsewhere.
Example from USA today:
“Nearly half of American voters, 45%, believe Biden should pressure Israel to ease the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, an exclusive USA TODAY/Suffolk University poll shows.”
That is from a news source that supposedly leans left for American news. 45% isn’t the majority of voters, although it is finally getting close.
I love how they say it could cost 47 billion dollars and this was only for 15 billion so they fight to say replacing the pipes is highly underfunded. The request was for 45 billion and his party demanded lower amounts and only allotted 15 then went on to call it underfunded now to try to get it canceled.
They say it could take years to get inner city places like Chicago all taken care of… So let me guess, their plan is to wait longer and hurt us more, doesn’t that usually mean you would start immediately?
They had that? When did we have a progressive president for 2 terms, a Congress and a Senate that was all progressive. It hasn’t happened in my life
A lot of Republicans questioning Trump just lost their nominee. Showing him look like a fool is not in their best interest.
Simple, having Trump talk sensible would be impossible. So airing him directly after Biden would show how weak he is as a public speaker.
I didn’t see it listed anywhere, does this differentiate if they are paid or unpaid. Mandatory paid water breaks sounds like a good thing. Mandatory unpaid water breaks a bad thing.
I haven’t checked, did they make the new McBurgers better or just cheaper production cost?
I’m not a Democrat, but I would be at war. If having a right to vote is the hill I die on so be it.
Replacing a battery in a laptop should be expected maintenance unless we are intentionally using them as disposable computers. 6 years of daily use on a laptop battery is pretty great.
So let’s review. Congress has to impeach someone and the Senate dismiss them.
Congress can not impeach someone who is not holding a federal job.
Therefore any president who attempts to steal the election is immune to prosecution unless they run again later and get re-elected and therefore are now eligible to be impeached and dismissed?
What am I missing
Drugs give an outlet. Coke costs about twice meth, as money runs lower and lower people start to mix a bit into their coke. Then that mix starts to slowly change ratios. Eventually someone gives in and just says why not. I’ve watched it happen to people. Mental health and financial security provide a stable slab to not need an outlet. We also can protect lives by simply verifying the outlets aren’t tainted with things users weren’t trying to use. Fentanyl deaths are a direct result of the war on drugs. I have never met someone who went somewhere and said “I’m going to do fentanyl.”
Ironic side effects: fix the drug crisis, it hurts the cartels, once the cartels are hurt Mexico gains more control and can start to fix anything they need to. The border crisis slows down as Mexico recovers. That doesn’t include the majority coming from South America and other counties like China but we get to have numbers down where we can assist in building up South American countries and insure they don’t have mass inflation and don’t need to leave. All the sudden the U.S. doesn’t look like the only safe haven. Opportunities now exist for people to succeed and prosper and North and South America becomes larger global trade partners. That reduces emissions as we don’t have to ship items across the Atlantic and Pacific that can be made in our countries.
I want to get into how plaguing opium into China resulted in Fentanyl plaguing the U.S, but that would require us to take responsibility for our countries past actions.
This is all news to me. I thought .xyz was owned by Google after they became Alphabet and had that ABC.XYZ site years ago.
Love when I see stuff like this and get to learn something new
