Oh yeah the whole of Mel Brooks are being translated as “La folle histoire de…” (The crazy story of…) Because I guess the first one was Mel Brooks History of the world (the words for history and story are the same in french)
Which reminds me that Die Hard was translated as “Piège de Crystal” (Crystal Trap) which isn’t per se a bad title, but then every movie that had a hero against people taking something over became “Piège …” Literally dozens of Piège movie that have nothing to do with Die Hard
“Wild Things” was translated to “Sex Crimes” in France “Body of Evidence” to “Body” “The Hangover” to “Very Bad Trip”
Hmm I can’t think of others right now, but translating English title to other (Often bad) English titles was a mood in France at some point
Your should install Lady Sia, a game published by TDK on it
I would suggest unionizing and talking to a union rep
You realized that harassment is grossly illegal stuff, right?
I disagree. “Being difficult to work with” is a fucking euphemism for harassing the employees. He was fired for harassment and gender discrimination, and by all accounts he is guilty of both.
If you like Disco Elysium, you should know that there are stories where everyone is a villain. The only ones who got fucked are all the other employees, whom you’ll notice didn’t come to the defense of Kurvitz, but wanted to have their voices heard separately.
I think it’s a mess, that the current owners are probably shady as fuck, but I also believe that Kurvitz was an abusive fuck who needed to go.
It’s a lot more complicated than that and I suggest you watch the People Make Games investigation on the subject to get a clearer idea of the issues.

If it goes to court, it might get appealed all the way to the supreme court who will be only to happy to give more rights to corporations over people
Gary Gygax dungeons were infamous for the “there’s 3 doors. Behind door 1 is a swarm of giant poisonous killer bees, behind door 2 is an insta kill trap and behind door 3 is a tunnel leading to a chest full of gold and gems” situation without any way to distinguish the doors.
It’s a de facto monopoly, just like windows was a de facto monopoly despite macos and Linux existing. There are plenty of good games that don’t make it on Steam, and Valve does very little for the money.
It’s worth it if you’re in the 1% of titles that succeed because of Steam. The next question is should any company have that kind of power. Steam’s monopoly is a real problem. Microsoft had less of a monopoly on computers when they got investigated.
I can see American Nightmare as a play on words with the American Dream, but yeah
