I don’t know about filters because I haven’t used them since reddit so maybe they’re broken but logging in and out is done in the upper left corner in the profile switcher.

And that’s a fine position to have. There’s nothing wrong with that. Complaining about the ads and the price when there are so many good apps isn’t useful to anyone however. I don’t personally like jerboa, nothing wrong with it but it’s not for me, but thunder is great and many others as well.

It’s a weird thing to complain about. There are so many other apps out there, and while I think this app is worth every penny and that it is the best Lemmy app I totally understand that the price isn’t something everyone can stomach.

Just try something else. I personally don’t think any other app is as good but I do think they’re all great and worth trying.

Cool! It wasn’t there before the OneUI 6 update.

I’m used to it being a dimmed view of what is behind, so being brought to a black screen and that view just opening with zero animation is not correct and pretty annoying.

I think it’s just as jarring in amoled mode, which I use when it’s darker

Here’s what I’m talking about. Light mode to make it more obvious. It’s supposed to show a dimmed view of what’s behind, but instead shows just black until it’s swiped away entirely. That is something the app has started doing recently.

I’m on a Samsung with OneUI 6 if that helps. Can’t give any more info at the moment!

I’m assuming that’s because this was a fully finished reddit app before becoming a beta Lemmy app.

I’m getting a bug where swiping to return from something (like this comment section) makes the app go black. It does return me to the previous screen, so it’s fully functional, but the effect is a bit jarring.

Only when swiping back. Pressing the back button behaves as it does normally

Yep, it’s normal. Nope, he doesn’t usually say much about it. It’s probably still actively worked on since nothing has been said. The only time I can remember was when it was actually communicated that development would be slowing down some years ago due to life stuff. As such, assuming that development is still ongoing is reasonable IMO but of course that isn’t necessarily something all users see as something worth paying for.

They’ve changed something in their API, which they seem to do every so often. Sync hasn’t been updated to handle that change yet.

That’s true! I haven’t looked at thunder since sync came out. It’s a lot better.

It’s a shame that ljdawson has been absent for such a long time, because I do think sync is the best app in general. It is however obvious that other apps keep up better with Lemmy development and other issues.
