Yeah I’ll echo what everyone else is saying, the visuals and art direction are stellar, some of the best original sci-fi art in the last decade, rivaling Dune and Avatar - the story is as generic of an action movie as you can get. It’s a fun movie tho, I enjoyed my watch, but it’s not a “run out and see” kinda movie unless you’re a VFX nerd like me.
Tbf a lot of companion interaction in BG3 is tied to long rests, so it makes sense to be pretty heavy handed with them

(very) theoretical max damage of 640 for one spell slot and 6 sorc points
Meta it is not, due to the very specific use-case and the setup required, but it’s a great opener or closer, and I pretty commonly hit +200/250dmg using this. Cleared every single ad in the >!Orin!< fight in one shot this way lol
Another fun build I just tried out in my friend’s game
Paladin/tempest cleric
Moving parts are as follows
Thunderous Smite (spell slot)
utilize Destructive Wrath to ensure max damage roll on the thunder damage (channel divinity - short rest)
use Luck Of The Far Realms to ensure crit (long rest)
use Divine Smite on Crit for more booku bux (spell slot)
Haven’t played w this one too much, for stats you’ll want to dump CHA tho, weird for a paladin build but the important bits of this build don’t involve the actual spell effects for paladin so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ in terms of efficacy though, at level 7 I did 120 damage in one attack lol.

Hey, it could be worse, you could be a kid whose whole world is in the midst of melting down before they’ve even had a chance to realize what life could’ve been like if not for the shitty decisions of the preceeding generations.

As a kid I spent probably a week sitting under a table in my room, rewatching A New Hope on a portable dvd player over and over and over. I thought that I should watch it until I had every line memorized, and then move onto ESB (which I never did for obvious reasons)

Kinda weird but using the menu to open it in browser gets around it for now. Aside from that, super smooth UI and performance aside from the occasional 502/3 hiccup.
What a terrible day to be literate
We spent about two hours of irl time attempting to get boots of sticking un-stuck from the ceiling last session, it required several successive physical saves while you stay suspended upside down for an hour, the entire party attempted + failed, until one of us suggested just, putting your hands in it while sitting on another party members shoulders.
It worked
It’s been a minute since I saw it but I thought the humor was well executed. There’s a lot of talk lately about how modern blockbusters (read: marvel) are oversaturated with humor, but I feel like Honor Among Thieves struck just the right balance for a movie about DnD.

I think reddit’s staunch hatred for artists is pretty gross personally, I’m very much in favor of letting artists advertise in the manners outlined in the op.
Once post tags/flairs are implemented it’ll be easy enough for folks who aren’t interested in character art filter it out, and people who are, to actively search for it.
Art is, now, a pretty ingrained part of the DnD/TTRPG culture and I think we should celebrate or at the very least, aide in the self-supporting of the people who create it.
