A gelatinous cube rotates through the area every 8 hours to hoover up any leftover char
Smells like fey propaganda to me
You can’t fool me, trickster
I feel like we scare our DM with this sometimes, when he takes a single player into another room to discuss something private and comes back to an in-character discussion over how easy it would be to poison a major NPC
the smell of heavily chlorinated water. i used to spend a heck of a lot of time at the pool when i was a kid, and where i live now there aren’t nearly as many pools, so it’s not something encountered often anymore.
As is usual, this was pulled out of the unsorted memes folder uncredited. Thank you for the sourcing
That’s why it’s important to assess the tone the DM is using when they say that.
Do they sound defeated? You’re probably about to derail away from something planned to something that will have to be fully improvised on the spot, reconsider for sanity’s sake
Do they sound excited? You’re probably about to trigger a really cool trap, full steam ahead

The healing is not as rewarding as the hurting
I think stuff like this: https://lemmy.ml/post/1167199
is what’s more provably worrying. Modlogs are public, and if I’m interpreting this information correctly, I think the devs are engaging in scummy practices.
You’ll laugh until your party goes to their respective homes to turn in for the night and assassins converge on all your locations at once
Never again.
I didn’t expect the validation to be this immediate, but here we are.
I scrambled, shredded, and then deleted my Reddit account after getting my data request back. I’m done with that place because I can only see it going downhill from here - site will only get more enshittified over time, this was the tipping point.
I don’t need Lemmy to compete with or kill Reddit. All I wanted was any one platform to get enough of an influx of users to be self-sustaining even after the outrage started to die down, which appears to have been successful.
Genuinely, I just use the site itself either on desktop or my phone. I’ve tried Jerboa, Summit, and Thunder, and while they’re all good (Thunder was my favorite), the base webpage (with the darkly-compact theme) is more than good enough for my needs. That this is true is a great achievement on the part of the Lemmy devs, in my opinion.
I was trying to figure this out earlier - does this work in reverse? Can I interact with mastodon posts through lemmy’s interface?
Exactly, you get it!
