Same here. Loving that the new icon is black and the old one is white. Makes it easier to see I went to the “dark side” 😂

Same here 😂 saw the Google replay link and clicked through “install” instantly then realized it was just a pre register 😂
I’m currently seeding like 50+ torrents across 2 different private trackers. Have each torrent limited to like 500 connections and I forget what my global is ATM. Only time I ever ran into issues was Hogwarts from a public tracker which was able to saturate my network. Upload like a tb in a week then got an email from my ISP and called that good. Got a 10 ratio on a public tracker which is probably better than 99% of people who use them 😂
No worries. From what I can see in the forums they approve you for the IP you will using to download everything. If you aren’t on that IP then downloads will be blocked. More specifically I think your browser and torrent client must have the same IP but like I said I don’t know much about how VPNS work as I’ve never really used one.
Couple forum posts. The single one is from a moderator and also the person who did my interview to get into the website. That also ended up having to change VPN providers to get someone who would let them stick with a more static IP address.
If you are still interested I’d highly recommend showing up during one of the days they have registration. Can talk to them about it during the interview to get your invite and they would have way more knowledge and information about it.
That I do not know. I don’t use a VPN. I’ll see if I can find anything when I get home tonight and let you know.
Another vote for liftoff. Has been great for me since I installed it.
You’ll also find that private trackers tend to be pretty safe to use without a VPN. But I think in the case MyAnonamouse you only have to be on your home IP for the interview. After you get accept tell them you use a VPN or seedbox and what that IP is and you should be good to go. I just got in there today actually and am super pumped about it. They have sooooo many things 😂
Mine is the same way for most things. I seed everything for at least a month and am generally lucky if I get a .4 ratio on anything. Granted I’m on private trackers with minimum ratios so everyone is generally really good at seeding. When Hogwarts dropped I I got like a 10 ratio, on a 90 gig torrent, before I got a letter from my ISP about and shut it down.
Yeah I checked the next day. Apparently that download came with like 3 different versions of each book in ebook format. So freaking cool. Got me to cancel my audible sub finally 😂 now I just need to get into a good site for audiobooks and stuff. Thank you again.
So I got this set up tonight and holy shit. A little confusing at first and currently only available when I’m at home but that’s fine since I can download them like I normally do anyway. But holy shit. It’s Plex for audiobooks. I’m sure there is more for me to do but I’m blown away just from start.
Only question I still have it how the hell did I get the ebooks… I don’t think I have those downloaded but I can just open the ebook right from the audiobook page.
Yeah that’s exactly my point. Other guys was listing all these things the signal has stored but they really just don’t want access to any of it.
But it doesn’t though. That information has been subpoenaed from signal in the past. They don’t have access to it to give. This is public information.
I mean it can be. You can put anything you want there and send it on it’s way
Will check it out tonight. Thank you.
Replying to look at this tonight. Thank you.
What do you use to listen to these audiobooks? I’ve downloaded a copy of my favorite series but no idea what to use to listen to them. I prefer something with some kind of cloud sync between devices but it’s not required and I’m fine self hosting that data in like Google drive or something.
Ah man that sucks. I do wonder about those kinda of things and it’s gotten me to when I’m late for work and someone at work will call me once and my phone won’t ring and wake me up. Thankfully I also have a work phone and generally people call that and it’s always on loud since I don’t use it for much other than work stuff.
Ah. I thought you’re “guess what I’m doing tonight” meant something 😂 was so excited.
I didn’t really start to use Lemmy until after the API shutdown. And even in that length of time it’s been remarkable. The first week without reddit Lemmy wasn’t really able to keep me death scrolling, which was a good thing probably. I eventually used revanced to get Sync working again on my phone. Since doing that I’ve spent maybe 3 hours on Reddit and probably 3 or 4 times that on Lemmy as the communities get more active and I find more communities I want to be a part of.
Yup and there was generally a way around it even though most often it involved rooting the phone or using USB passthrough.
