Still waiting for HTC to make a G3 :-(
Just got my fold, voyager seems to have a weird scrolling lag. Doesn’t seem to happen anywhere else tho
Couldn’t I just record my mouse movements clicking on it a couple dozen times and randomly replay one of those recordings?
Interesting, I had an almost opposite experience. I was good enough with memorization and applying formulas in high school to pass with As but I never really understood what I was doing.
Taking calc again in college and watching a video of Neil Degrass Tyson talk about Newton figuring out orbits are conical sections made everything click for me. Suddenly I remembered the 3D episode of the Simpsons and those coin spinny things at the mall and put it all together.
After that, I was much more interested in figuring out how the formulas worked and it made learning way easier.
Got the converter so I can be use regular watch straps. Currently have a nice distressed leather one on.
That’s fair, pretty good reason, especially for enthusiasts, to not want to buy it.
For me, I stopped being able to notice any significant lag on my phones 2-3 generations ago. I guess I don’t do anything that requires that much processing power on my phone anymore.
I’ve thought about it some more, and I think I’ve identified what I really want out of a foldable.
I want the promise of the one device to replace a phone, tablet, and laptop. Currently, were no where near that. Hardware wise I think we’re there, but software, we still have a long way to go to get all apps to support a tablet mode.
“Laptop” mode I haven’t even bothered trying for most things. It does work pretty well for work, using RDP, Teams, Outlook.
Love them, tried out the Z Flip 3, Oppo Find N, currently have the Pixel Fold.
I understand that it’s not for everyone and I don’t think it’s a must buy for me, but I really like the form factor and I’m glad for the option.
I’m surprised by the lack of buzz for it when it came out. Unless it’s unplayable due to bugs, it usually takes a few days to a week for everyone to figure out that a game sucks and for the number of players to drop. This thing seems to have been dead on arrival which is a bigger mystery.
