I started to do it to keep the dog dirt out of my sheets. It’s the first time I have ever done this in my life. I now feel like an adult.

“fuck you im gonna die before the ramifications for my actions harm anyone”
That makes for bad gift giving imo because then they could’ve just gone out and bought something for themselves.
I do the same thing and I am lauded within my family as an excellent gift giver.
Federation of a service is confusing because it is a difficult problem to conceptualize. There’s no way to easily explain how to use federated services to non techies.
For me? That’s fine. I can use federated stuff.
For my mom? Nope. But she needs to get off the internet in general so that’s probably a bad example.
I agree with his take on the apple vr shit, but fuck nazi notch.
Honestly I kind of agree with op’s submission. Apple just didn’t have a real plan for what they wanted it to be. It sits in an awkward niche between AR and VR and it sucks at both as a result.
A heads up display that could overlay useful information onto the world around you would be amazing.
The problem is that the apple vision is huge and bulky. They need to shrink it down to the size of big nerd eyeglasses. Microsoft did the same thing with their whatever it was called. I played with it a few times at different tech demos. It was garbage from the start because it was heavy, uncomfortable, and the refresh rate was intolerably slow. Apple’s is a slight improvement in a few categories but it still completely misses the point of what AR should be.
That’s only because the US and other first world countries have shied away from mining rare earth elements because it is traditionally a very dirty and polluting industry. So poor and developing countries did it their way… with slavery and incredibly ecologically damaging techniques.
New techniques are being developed in the US that solve those problems. It originally wasn’t worth the effort because we had plenty of lithium to make 18V drill batteries. Since BEVs have proven to be capable and desireable over the last decade, critical material supplies just didn’t keep up and those new techniques were just a twinkle in the eye of some smart people.
If you’d like to learn more about how we can completely avoid the slavery and pollution problems related to getting lithium, take a look at the Salton Sea enhanced geothermal projects. I am personally going to invest a portion of my life savings in that company if given the opportunity.
Cashew
There are at least two different apps. Which one? This one?
OK found it.
https://github.com/jameskokoska/Cashew It does have iOS and Android apps available.
They REALLY need to rename. That first link stole their name and they collect and sell your data.
Uhg. I watched an episode of The Curse when my wife found it. I am convinced that the curse is actually the entire show - they’re cursing the audience.
OK so wait until the inevitable hours after opening peak and buy puts?
Yeah, the region in question was meant to be broad since this is a pretty specific and peculiar subject.
I think Reno, Nevada does some similar antics. And possibly Atlantic City, NJ. All of them have local economies based on casinos (and historically, organized crime).
They’re junk though. You have to kick start them and they don’t have enough torque for anything but totally flat ground. Save your money and buy something else.
Or buy them in bulk at a massive discount to salvage batteries and motors.
Initially the price to use those scooters was like $0.50/min which was great when you had to go several blocks. Then Razor hit the market and beat the everliving hell out of all of those shitty Bird and Lime and Blue Duck scooters in terms of torque - you could actually just hit the throttle to move. Great! Then the price wars started. Except they didn’t go down. Every single scooter platform went up in price.
The last time I used one, it cost me more than $3/min. I was stunned. It would’ve cost me less to take an uber (and I could’ve brought multiple people with me for no additional cost!). No wonder these are going out of business. They have priced themselves out of the market.
At least I think Razor is going to stick around because they’re vertically integrated.
Once you get the hang of it, you can win like 95% of the games.
In the first ten levels, starve yourself and only eat at 30% hp.
Use corners and other obstacles to your advantage to get sneak-attacks.
Don’t equip any unidentified equipment if possible - especially if it is suspiciously high level for the area. It is probably cursed.
Save up your upgrade scrolls until you find some tier 4 or 5 weapons and armor. If you’re a mage, just dump them in your wand of fire from lvl 1 with no regrets.
Learn how the bosses attack. The slime hits really hard after charging, so figure out how to dodge or get out of range.
Normally I would retort “But we paid money for it - so they need to support it”. However I got my Win10 license by upgrading an XP machine to 7, then to 10. So I guess I didn’t pay for it. My other Win10 machine was originally an OEM Win7 license.
But whatever. When they rugpull Win10 I will just complete move to Linux. The only thing holding me back is some industrial software that I use for work and they’re in the process of multi-platform support.
I’ve heard from people who were conceived by IVF and the general consensus is “Don’t.” If you can’t conceive normally, then don’t brute force the process and give your future kid all kinds of genetic disorders because you’re lonely. It has nothing to do with god - it has everything to do with not causing a lifetime of suffering of for your child.
edit since you are all intent on downvoting me for saying the truth: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3650450/
… I actually wonder if the graphics cards could multiplex across multiple dp to a single display.
