Tomato sauce and everything hot tomato, especially if you use canned tomatoes, needs a bit of sugar. It makes it 100% better. It does not make it sweet, but all the flavors of the tomato just pop while otherwise it is only sour and bland.

I do the same, but the meal did not have a name. Until today, it’s called “Bishbashbosh” now. I had to use google to translate to understand what it means, I am from Germany.

I managed to clean the kitchen and do the dishes every evening for two weeks in a row now and it is a start to be nice to tomorrow me. If it becomes a habit, I will try to do more, but for now it is hard enough, but also so, so satisfying the next morning! Past me, today me and tomorrow me are a team!

A robotic AI pet. Like a small dog or cat. Preferable able to read my body language and react to it. In a low price range that I can afford. Everything on the market is too dumb, too expensive, too hard to program and there is non that can read body language.

I wish they would make decisions after they are handed the report. Unfortunately many make a decision and then ignore the report that proofs the decision is wrong and then make their underlings try to make the wrong decision work out and then they blame it on them when it, of course, doesn’t and then they fire a bunch of them and try again the same way. An office I can walk to. I might even prefer that to a home office, because I find it hard to get away from work when it is always looking at me at home, even in my spare time.

An office where I have a say in how it is furnished and how it looks, together with my colleagues of course. Natural light, being able to sit or stand at my desk. “Please do not disturb” signs that people respect when I want to concentrate on my work. A place that is built to reduce noise, and that allows me to have it as cold or warm, light or dark, as I need it to be that day.

A place where I can eat and drink when I need to, and a place where I can lie down for a moment when it helps me recover from a difficult task.

Basically, make my workplace a place to live, because work is life, not a separate thing, and you go home to start living.

And what happened to someone I know is: When they came back, everyone acted like as if they had a full vacation and not just worked abroad. Everyone expected them to have magically recovered from work and they were asked to not take “another vacation” because “they already had one”. On top their work from abroad was looked at way more critical, because some people assumed you can’t do your work well when the beach is waiting for you.

I clicked by accident on a few links on Feddit that lead to Reddit (people should post archive links instead) and closed the site without reading immediately, otherwise I am clean since I made this account on June 12. I do still miss Reddit a bit, but I will not go back, no matter what the site does. I also reduced my online time drastically which is doing wonders for my mental health and how much I get done in my household.
