  • I didn’t really like it when it aired and avoided watching it for many years. Never was a fan if the BSG/Lost show format with constant drama and flashbacks. The episodic style of SG1 and Atlantis, that’s my groove.

But I watched it all the way recently and honestly grew on me. Still not a fan of all the filler drama and style of plot, but it has its good moments. And there’s some decent acting in there. Definitely worth a watch.

  • Honestly, I mostly trust them. I did feel they went too easy on some corpos, especially nvidia with series 50, but also amd and iirc they barely said anything about the Intel gen13/14 issues. Their attitude towards lower-end hardware is also a bit annoying, especially alex’s. However they do have great retro reviews for both tech and games, and john’s fascination with older tech is infectious. And I love that they have a positive attitude towards linux gaming and privacy in general, unlike many other channels. I wish them lots of luck with this newfound independence.

  • Decentralized platforms based on open protocols, such as Mastodon and Bluesky, have been designed from the ground up to prioritize user choice and agency—without needing permission from a corporate gatekeeper. This is most apparent on Bluesky

Tells you that you can take your social media back from big tech then casually recommends Bluesky. Gimme a break.

Also if you want your news free of the constant noise of social media, RSS still exists and it’s still beautiful.
