Seems like a good solution! I don’t know of anything yet, but doesn’t seem too far fetched

1·20 days agoShould not be needed, since it is only blocking UA that starts with “Mozilla” but won’t hurt to add Piefed UA.
The Lemmy UA I left there but it was only for testing at first and then I just left it there, the rule that blocks most bots is filtering http 1.x and browser UA when the requests come from VPS ASNs

5·21 days agoI get your point, but any solution would still need to block threats at the server level, and that costs server load. Honestly, we’re too small for the U.S. military to even notice us. Plus, the free CDN is a great benefit.
My real work for the revolution happens on the streets, and there’s very little any intelligence agency can do to stop that.

Fediverse@lemmy.ml•How does resource utilization compare between Piefed and Lemmy?
2·24 days agoThat’s not even near reasonable, maybe lemmy.world lol
Here since 2023 with lemmy.eco.br and never had anything near that.
Of course there used to be problems on older versions (both Lemmy and Postgres had more bugs back then)

Come on, the whole purpose of pixelfed is to be an image federated platform.
