When I first started using KDE and Sway I was so used to the Xfce apps that I installed the xfce4-goodies, running on top of Wayland. So fucking good memories.

I guess we are used to it, I like to use sway in the desktop and KDE in the laptop but I want to run Wayland. And with both of them is possible.
My ISP uses CG-WAN so in order for me to remote into it, I had to set up Tailscale, the OS isn’t perfect but is way better than any consumer grade router in the market. I also use a custom firmware, a forked version of OpenWRT that works with routers with modems.
+1 for the WRT router, if you can get a decent device with an enough powerful CPU it can host Transmission
The mascot is tired of running nonstop in that hamster wheel.
Yeah Mac has dd too, I often forget about the terminal existing there. I wish Ventoy for Mac was a thing tho.
It reminded me when I told a coworker he could force the Windows shutdowns with the command 'shutdown -p -f" from either a Run.exe or a cmd window.
Then he said it wasn’t working, and that the cmd window would just open and close quickly but no shutdown.
Imagine my surprise when he was doing shutdown -pf .
I only tried to use it once, and same. 150MB of a Web app to copy an ISO? I think I was using a Macbook to flash it and decided to use ventoy instead, with my PC.
In the white house being friends with the hosts.
Yeah is not that serious, but I have my reasons to tell them to go ride a dick and fuck themselves.
Also we need to stop talking about these people, paying tribute, referencing them, respecting them, etc.
No, I’ve never heard of that podcast but if they named it as a tribute to the Guzman family they can go fuck themselves too.
Fuck El Chapo, fuck his sons, and fuck his shitty criminal enterprise.
Basically, I specifically want cold storage, and not cloud. I will only add, not delete from it. And I don’t want it encrypted.
I have a client with a photographic studio. To give you an estimate, his data is around 14TB of mostly camera pictures with approximately 20 years or history and the owner believe it or not, relies on multiple external hard drives for cold storage, he has a 2TB Seagate thats like 2011-2012 old which still works.
To put in a cupboard tho, M disc is your best bet.
But it’s addictive, I put something spicy in almost every meal now.
Wait til you try Mexican candy, for flavor I recommend you Pulparindos and for a little heat kick, Chaca Chaca.
A few years ago (when Intel’s 12th gen got released) got an i7 11700kf + a Z590 mobo for $180 USD from a guy on Marketplace, and the motherboard is an AsRock Z590ac . The price was a steal but now it got me wondering if the previous owner didn’t know the brand and that’s why he got rid of it so cheap. Still works great and even runs Mac OS with clover.
Pull them out of of an external HDD
Maybe a shuckled Western Digital you find new and at a good price? I’ve had a 12TB I shuckled, but is just one. And after 2 years is still going strong.
I have a fulltime job and still get to do my gardening, reading, writing and tinkering with machines like cars and computers, this last year 2024 I planted a pepper patch and now I got unlimited Thai, Habaneros and Chiltepin peppers…
The CPU in this has no pins, is just contacts on the chip. The pins are in the motherboard, like the new 7000 series Ryzen.
TBH using Bottles to run an exe feels more refined than the epic games UI.
