I can back up my arguments with their holy texts as well as the Greek thought most of it was stolen from. At its core it is a fascist faith. Beginning with Plato’s blueprint for a spiritual dictatorship ruled by mystics who don’t have to explain themselves, to Jesus declaring that his path was the only way, to the City of God telling us that torture in this life was better than hell and thus justified.

Because if it was all bad it would just be abandoned. It is like smoking tobacco vs consuming botulism. Each time you smoke a tiny bit of damage is done and a lot is pleasure is delivered every time you consume botulism you get very ill and risk dying. The liberal Christianity tried to offer a different route. A Christianity that doesn’t depend on bigotry. A Christianity not supported by the texts or thoughts of the faith for the past 20 centuries because they are doing that they are offering cover for the the branches aligned with Christianity. They are holding out the possibility of reform. If they don’t exist people would see Christianity for what it is, and not what in theory it could be.

I find it amusing that given they are such good Christians they couldn’t have just written their own translation and depend instead of the public domain King James Bible.

I think I was super clear but evidently I wasn’t. People should not be murderes. If we are to have a death penalty, big if, it should be by the state through a process. Not random 17 year olds with a gun. I feel this way about everyone. No one should murder anyone. Murder is bad.

You know at work when I can’t give a firm answer to a question I will just say so and promise to find out. Turns out when you are not a murderer people cut you slack

A. You don’t loose the right to a fair trail because you are a criminal, a former criminal, or even just an asshole. Nor are you allowed to be murdered. It doesn’t matter how shit these people were a random guy with a gun doesn’t get to decide if they live or die.

B. It is bizarre how prior situations only work against the victims. Everyone loves to point out that the victims were criminals and at the same time ignore the fact that Rittenhouse out himself in that situation

C. I will call that piece of shit a fucking murderer to his fucking face if I ever fucking see him. He is a murderer. Even if God were real, and came down and told me straight off that he is not a murderer in my assessment of the facts he is.
