Personally, I generally prefer battery longevity, since that is the main factor that causes me to buy a new phone.
This is also the main reason I would like to buy a Fairphone for my next phone. I can get a new battery for $50 and replace it myself. And with 8-10 years of updates, I figure I can actually use it for 8 years with two battery replacements along the way.

So they can just keep it on American servers and sell it to OpenAI or share it with the US government.
Also, there are a lot of bots copying everything on reddit and other sites. Even if reddit would comply with GDPR, these bots cannot be traced and cannot be fined.

And from a more realpolitik perspective: the Arab world is our (European) backyard.

While I do agree with you, I also see twitch, TikTok and Patreon presenting models that are quite competitive with YouTube.
From a privacy perspective, free junk content like TikTok, YouTube and twitch will always be hard coupled with targeted advertising.
But Patreon (and onlyfans for that matter) do offer a model that can work without ads.
In fact, if Patreon also introduced an ad-supported tier and allowed you to more broadly see other content aside from the direct person you sponsor, it could probably grow quite a lot.
