If I’m playing a song that requires certain chord changes (like the way Wonderwall drops from G major to a G/F# to an Em7 to a Dsus to an A7sus) I will use third and fourth finger on the high strings instead of the barre because it’s easier to move the root notes around that way.

Primarily use my desktop (nothing beats a proper desk setup for Getting Shit Done) for work and gaming. I have a laptop that I use less frequently, but it’s an acceptable way to take work with me if I have to. It won’t play any games more graphically intense than Slay the Spire, but that’s not the point. I use my phone for Serious Business only when absolutely necessary. Anything short of a proper desktop setup feels like a crippled user experience, and phones are the most crippled experience of them all.

I think the connotation is that a Muppet is controlled by someone else. Their every thought, word, and action is the intent of their handlers.

Agreed. This UI is very much inherited from ancient word processing applications. The shift that Microsoft made in the Vista era to the tabbed menu buttons only added extra mouse clicks to get to the same set of functions. Word and LibreOffice both allow you to do the kind of thing you’re talking about, but those features are nestled way down into menus and trays that are ugly and hard to use and promote the use of the wrong tool since the wrong tool is made more accessible.

Disagree. A Trump/Biden debate probably doesn’t move the needle much at all for anybody. Trump’s brash refusal to debate with civility looks as good to his base as it looks bad to Biden’s. I don’t see a point. It only gives Trump air time he doesn’t deserve.

Not surprised. What I saw that I haven’t seen mentioned in the handful of news articles I’ve seen about this is that pretty consistently Biden was winning the Dem primaries with 80-90% of the vote with the remainder scattered among a few other options, maybe protest votes of a kind, while Haley was taking 30+% of the Republican votes. I don’t honestly know how this compares to previous primaries. Could this be an indicator of some red reluctance for Trump? Will there be a similar follow through in the presidential election to tear Republican votes away from him?

Having lived in Texas for something like 29 years, I must respectfully disagree. Unless you have a Five Guys around, Whataburger is about as good as fast food gets.
