not portable or self contained, but homeassistant handles things like this quite well. you’d need it running somewhere else though. worth the effort if you plan to automate more things though

it’s tied to packagekit, so tumbleweed should work ootb. opensuse’s immutable distro is less likely to be possible though, as well as anything else like that

some of them are also less bot detection and more spam limiting and mitigation. cloudflare’s has more stuff built in I’m sure, but things like mCapcha are just proof of work, so if you’re trying to make a bunch of accounts or whatever, it’s really computationally expensive.

this is the original document defining markdown, and you’ll notice it doesn’t really specify a lot of the things that have compatibility issues across different markdown processors, along with allowing arbitrary html which really depends on where you’re showing it. There’s a list of ambiguous syntax here.

CommonMark is as close to a standard as we have.

I second the formbot voron 0.2 kit, it was my first printer and it was a great experience. I have had a lot of heat creep issues with the dragon hf hotend though, I’d probably recommend the standard one instead. Other than that it’s been much less required tinkering than I was led to believe. It generally just works.

Ikea smart devices are all zigbee so far, which is great since you can just plug it in to home assistant and it does respect your privacy.

Plugs like this are also a lot more useful than just saying total power consumption or whatever. I have a few similar for automating not smart devices. Things like a proper notification when my kettle or rice cooker is done, notification when humidifier is empty, etc. You get the functionality of a smart device but it’s as cheap/robust as the original version, and privacy respecting/more secure since it can’t be connected to the internet

tailscale also just has a button to buy/enable mullvad as an exit node. if you’re just looking for a commercial vpn for privacy it works well.

I’d always prefer a biodegradable and renewable material that I have to replace every few years over an artificial one that’ll be around forever in some form. Not everything needs to be made out of petroleum

you can also just add more buckwheat if it gets too flat too. although fwiw I bought one a couple years ago and took out a bit to make it flatter initially, and haven’t needed to add it back yet

the element x version has been working much better for me wrt sync speed. still in beta and missing some features but overall very nice

haven’t looked into protonvpn much, but it’s more or less a different company providing the same service. I imagine the differences aren’t too significant if you trust both companies

they in theory see everything someone does, but in the case of mullvad they have no idea who you are

I’ve put more work into getting wsl to work at work than I have my home linux machines. it’s just so unreliable for some reason. I ended up just giving up and running a full vm instead, and it’s so much nicer since I can just pretend windows doesn’t exist

canonical has had it’s run with the latter two, at least briefly. it’s not out of the picture at least

the browser based office does just work if that helps. I don’t have anything for the cc side tho

I loved peragus the first time through, but the more I replay it the more it’s just having to run around to all the terminals in the right order while being slowed down with the easy but tedious fights, esp with not a str or dex build and harder difficulty.

And that conversation with the hk is so annoying, like I know you’ll tell me the password, but it always takes me so much time to find the dialog path to get him to say it in the voice for some reason.

I really like the character swap sections though, especially the onderon ones. It adds more difficulty and makes party builds matter. Otherwise I feel like I just blow through everything with mc even solo

Voron doesn’t sell anything, you either have to source all the materials yourself or buy a kit. I bought a kit from formbot when I built my V0 and have been pretty happy with it. They also sell V2.4 kits and have a warehouse in Czech
