Never tried anything line that before but I feel like you’d be better off setting up VNC for it and connecting something lightweight to your TV and just interacting with the VM via VNC

It’s about the symbolism of the color change, the fresh start
I recommend the Asus Zenfone line, flagship processor for a reasonable price (relatively speaking) in a small form factor. It’s a godsend for someone like me with small hands. I’ve had mine for a year or so and I really love it! And I hear the Asus Zenphine 10 is even better.
I find that the cadence of your words matters very much with Google. Like the words matter, but your pitch and tone matter too. I had to retain my model because it wouldn’t go off when I’d yell ok Google at it, but it would go off when I’d say “ok cool” in convo. Now I have to say it with a specific inflection for it to recognize what I said. When I say it with the right inflection I’d say it works 80+ percent of the time
I swear, google’s quality control on the pixels is just bad. I had a Pixel 5a, when I got it, the phone was a year old. Out of the box it was slow, I tried so many things to get it working correctly and it just never did. Then 7 months in it just died.
After a ton of back and forth with support and them trying to tell me I had water damage when I didn’t, I finally got another Pixel 5a. That one works super well in comparison. I didn’t use it much because I was so fed up with the whole debacle with Google that I switched to an Asus Zenfone 9. But the little I did use it, it was faster than the other 5a ever was.
My first pixel 5a almost never picked up my "ok Google"s whereas my Asus Zenfone 9 works while it’s playing music full volume, or while I’m playing music in the car, and a ton of other situations where my pixel and my galaxy s9 I had before never did. It’s so odd.
That being said, the Zenfone is way worse at shazaming things for some reason. I definitely think it’s not only a per phone model basis but also a per singular phone basis thing.
It could be coincidentally in line with you getting gunk in your mic or something. Or it could be that your particular phone doesn’t handle android 12 very well. I’ve had less issue with voice recognition on android 12 and 13. Maybe try re-training the voice model.
I’ve found on budget/older phones voice recognition is useless, I recommend something more modern of you can afford it, maybe a flagship from a year or two ago
Sometimes the correct answer isn’t just vote with your wallet, but to vote for the policies/people who will fix the shitty system.
That being said, yes protest with your wallet if nothing else, but it won’t change anything usually, unfortunately.
But you have to choose the instance you’re searching, that’s the opposite of what I want, I want to search all instances, or at least the top 100 or something, all at once
I don’t think iw oild be unreasonable for someone to make a search engine that is specifically for indexing lemmy posts. Seems like it would be a good addition to the lemmyverse site
Yeah sometimes. I know that even if I did nothing in a day, if I go work out I feel like I did something.
It also feels good to get a personal record on a machine or at an exercise.
It also feels great to get a good pump in.
After a workout you feel satisfied and tired and it’s great!
Also seeing your strength and stamina go up in everyday tasks is satisfying.
My advice is start slow. Even if it’s a light day and you’re kind of miserable, you still feel good about getting it done. Try to convince yourself to go for a week, and go easy, very easy. Like just get any amount of exercise done. It’ll become easier and easier to go to the gym and to do exercises. And you’ll find that you’ll start to like some of them.
You might like how it stretches a muscle or tendon that is always a little tight. Back extensions feel AMAZING
You might like how strong certain exercises feel
You might like how the extra muscle alleviates pains you’ve had in the past
You might like how much definition a certain exercise gives you.
You might even just become proud of how good you can do an exercise. I used to have that. “Yeah I’m not bad at working out, but crunches? I’ll beat anyone”
it’s fun sometimes to bring a friend along and compete a little as well. You can also motivate each other to keep going.
Did you post tbag vbs script online? Because that script spread through my school like herpes.
When you click on a community you can click the “block community” button at the top right-ish part of the screen, it’s in the same section as “create post” and “subscribe”
Searching is a little more complicated, to keep it simple you can use the built in search. That will show you communities in the instance you’re searching on, and any community that anyone else on your instance has accessed.
To search all(not all but majority of) communities across all instances you can use this: https://lemmyverse.net/communities
Each instance is like its own little island. Some islands have a theme, some are general purpose. And the instance you make your account on is where you have your citizenship, but you can view and interact(follow, comment, like, etc) with other islands that allow visitors from your island. If an island(instance) doesn’t want to allow visitors another island, or allow their citizens(users) to go another island the mayor of the island(admin) can cut off contact with that particular island(de-federate)
Jesus wtf lol, this is one of those posts that’s going to become a copypasta
I have the Asus Zenfone 9, I love this thing
The passport foldable is fucking awesome imo, Regular phone screen on the outside, 7ish inch tablet on the inside, super awesome as an e-reader, for productivity, etc. And if the inside screen breaks, you will have a usable outside one.
That being said, I Def thing the tech has a ways to go, the soft screens we have today are flawed. I’d really rather see two screens where they are edgeless when the hinge is flat. We have curved screens, just curve two screens and don’t use the part under the curve. Samsung was doing that for years to get edge to edge displays.
