Gel, shampoo, balsam, shaving foam/cream, and roll-on deo from Neutral/Minirisk. Simple, cheap, safe. And the best thing? It doesn’t trigger any allergies.

I’m not up to speed on the optimization levels of mobile Web browsers, but these days you rarely see properly optimized consumer software. Games and websites tend to be the worst offenders, and many mobile apps appear 10x the size you would expect them to be.

As a side note, if you for some reason turn off the central heating entirely and just use space heaters, then the failsafe will do no good.

Most central heating solutions waste some energy when idling, so one might be tempted to turn them off. Please be careful when doing this.

Wanted to be an inventor since I can remember, kinda like George Gearloose.

Managed to set fire to my dad’s Lego train by bypassing the controller and sticking the rails directly into the wall socket at age 4. Had to wait all the loooong time for mom to go to the toilet to try out my idea. And yes, I did cry a lot afterwards.

Currently I’m an engineer on master level working with startups, but haven’t gotten around to get a doctors/PHD yet, if I ever choose to attempt one.

Now, my sister was different, didn’t have any real idea what she wanted to do, probably something with art? So back when I just started learning about C I made a simple project with her, where I did the programming, and she decided on the user interface and did some simple copy pasting. Contrary to me, she very much likes making and solving patterns, such as sodoku, and since has become a frontend engineer, combining work with people, arts and design, and programming.

What I’m trying to say is, that you might find your interests reflected in unlikely places. It can be hard to find them, but keep looking until you find something that catches your fancy. And don’t expect this choice to always be sunny and fun. Even those who have their work laid out for them at birth struggle and question themselves every now and again. :)

Nothing big, but I like to make colored cards with NPCs, treasure, mobs/minibosses, and small quests. Sometimes you just need a random mob, so shuffle the mob deck and draw one, if it doesn’t match the situation, draw another.

Regarding tabletop, we started with P&P and used erasing rubbers and such as figures and a square notepad as battle map.

Nowadays we have proper painted figures and nice battle maps, but sometimes we don’t even bring all that up for small battles, as we just do them verbally instead of visually.

Nisser, the Danish, or rather Scandinavian, small and cute gods of protection. As far as I know, the nisse can form when an old farmer dies and is buried on their farm. The nisse will then henceforth protect the farm and it’s inhabitants.

Now, while considered fun and cute in modern times, the gårdsnisser (contrary to the more feral and much more dangerous skovnisser/forest nisser) are very gullable with a strong sense of guilt, and they are hotheaded and intractable/stubborn to an unreasonable degree. They will protect you and give good luck if treated well, but will be intolerable if they feel inconvenienced or not properly cared for, to the point where they might directly or indirectly kill everyone on the farm out of spite.

Sometimes they cause atrocities because of misunderstandings, and when finding out that it was a misunderstanding on their part will cause harm to others to make up to their own farm, such as stealing cattle from neighboring farms to make up for the cows they killed earlier.

Now, the possibly worst thing you can do is to try and force a nisse to show itself to you. The small creatures accept indirect gifts, but don’t like direct contact and have a cursing bite, and will most definitely bite if cornered, such as by a nosy and persistent child. This curse makes one fall sick, loosing health and strenght until one perishes in a matter of months/years. As far as I’m aware, there is no cure for the curse, and regarding the nissers tendency to be fooled or act before thinking, well…

Having a nisse on your farm can be a great blessing, but one is also constantly in danger of having their whole family killed over a minor misunderstanding or mood swing. So it is heavily recommended not to acquire any farms where a nisse might reside.

To expand on your comment:

It’s only as good as the total loss and delay for any given route. One weak connection does not define the speed and delay, instead, the accumulative weakness of all used mesh units, from the modem to your computer, does.

Therefore, you usually want to minimize the number of mesh units the connection has to go through, like making a cabled star or mesh topology instead of a wireless linear topology.

Might not be relevant for op, but playing games or using VNC or other time sensitive tasks can become really tough.
