sftpgo is a nice project to host files in a secure way without too much hassle.

While I don’t agree with your first point from my experience, the second one is very true. Especially for memory consumption, your typical Java app easily occupies five times as much as something more bare metal.

Not a remake but I think another addon for Diablo 2 would still be awesome.

German content is mostly on Sharehosters or One-Click-Hosters or whatever you call them. I really don’t know why because they are expensive and worse than the other options. I know BitTorrent is not popular in Germany because of the law but the Usenet could be the better option if it was more popular.

Sadly that’s true. I’m in that range and most of my friends use the same password for almost everything. Also nobody does backups.

I don’t like any of them. But from what I see, Android is the first one to make that feature in a way that it’s compatible with non-Android devices. That’s what the U in USB was meant for. The Apple version probably only works with other Apple devices, I guess.

AirAsia. This airline is basically scam. If anything goes wrong, there are no humans to talk to anymore. Only chatbots. No hotline and not even email support. They just keep your money, even if it’s 100% their fault. The chatbot is as unhelpful as it gets.

As long as we put that “exclusive content” crap aside, every one of them can potentially offer every song if they agree with the artist. That’s where the video streaming services are different. Disney+ and Netflix had many overlapping shows until the shittification started.

Yes and no. It’s both electromagnetic waves but the frequencies are very very far apart. So far, the techniques we use to emit and receive them are fundamentally different. Their propagation and transmission characteristics are also very different. Also, the data transmission rate (in theory) only depends on the bandwidth of the transmission channel, not the absolute frequency. But there’s more “room” for large bands at higher frequencies, of course.

I think the dependencies might actually be a problem for the “one binary fits all” solution. For a simple binary the user is responsible for the external dependencies. If by any chance you’re using Arch, there a package in the AUR.

That’s actually not a bad idea. There are a few downsides to this like the binary being quite big compared to the classical “one binary per architecture” style. I’ll give it a though. The docker image is pretty small btw ;).

Galaxy S10e gang checking in. Resoldered the USB port because it was corroded. Everything else is working perfectly fine. No plans to ditch it as of now.
