Lots of places forbide it, on the off chance it floods the unit. There’s also the thing (when renting an older unit) where water usage is included in the rent … and they don’t want you using more than they allot in their assessments.
Can’t have anyone dipping into their profits.
Double dipping right there. Make money on rent AND selling renter’s data. Capitalism at it’s best. :/
The Eye might tell you, if he’s in a good mood.
I can’t wait to see what a crystal hologram reader is gonna cost. :-p
As someone with hearing issues (I lose speaking tones completely) I prefer books. Nothing better than curling up with a good book and hiding from the world for a while.
Dumb duh dumb dumb duh!
I hate the constant creep into areas they don’t need to be. It’s no wonder so many of us stick with a stable OS for years, just so we avoid this stalking.
I held onto XP until 2011, and Win 7 until last year.
Then disallow the whole sentece with the N word.
There are ways to do security in AI learning, easy or not. And companies just throwing their hands in the air and screaming it can’t be done are lying through their teeth.
I disagree. Even basic inclusion of words to change (ie: the N word to Black or f*g to gay) would have helped.
Making these companies work harder to bring their product online isn’t a bad thing here.
I thought I’d have to as well. Just got lucky.
There was no sound at all, and when I went to look at the tv before buying it, they turned it on to show zero pixel loss but didn’t have the volumn on. And I didn’t push it.
Got home, no sound, so searched the model and found the answer … a minor setting adjustment. I was super happy about that.
A win for me. \O/
I bought second-hand and got a wicked deal (cause they thought the audio was gone, but for me it a quick fix). :)
If I’m streaming a 4K the resolution is limited by my non-4K tv. Other than that the resolution is dictated by the stream itself (ie: some are DVD quality, some are low res for those who have poor bandwidth, etc).
Many of the streams I access show the size of the file stream so you can choose the best one for you.
My set-up doesn’t include a smart tv … I specifically stayed away from buying one because of the monitoring they can do on my usage.
So mine is a good LCD > HDMI’d to my laptop > running a good VPN > links to multiple streaming sources that offer everything from live sports to new movies/TV shows.
Been running this way for over 20 yrs now and it works for me.
I posted it here because the question on the poll asks the voter if they’re in the EU or not, so understood the poll as being worldwide.
Just as an fyi on the pressure …
“The remains of the Titanic are 12,500 feet deep. Experts say the pressure at that depth is between 370-380 bars.” https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-65934887
1 bar is equal to 14.7 psi (the pressure of the air around us on our bodies at sea level).
370-380 bars is equal to 5366-5511 psi … with the added bonus of an auto-ignited explosion of hydrocarbons (that have concentrated in the sub) after the initial implosion … all completed within 1-3 milliseconds.
The explosion burns everything to ash and dust, which is why only the titanium rear cover and landing gear have been found so far. (The front titanium cover housed the woefully-inadequate “window” and, if it was the failure point, it could be buried in the silt, shattered into pieces or even shot through the Titanic wreck itself … anybody’s guess at this point.)
Because even the smartest people can start believing their own “lies”.
He had faith in his systems and decried anyone who challenged that faith.
Just remember that faith and facts are not the same thing.
Tbf I don’t think CSC Serviceworks intentionally stole residents money. They just ignored the problems … like you’re doing rn.
