Mullvad and Brave on desktop. Vanadium and Cromite/Brave on Android.
I alternate between Ringke Fusion and Caseology Parralax.
Excellent hardware, mediocre software, too expensive. To elaborate on the software, long software update is good. And the iPhone is certainly smooth. However it requires too many workarounds for/straight up can’t do what I would consider basic features on Android. And it certainly isn’t bug free. For the average user though, I don’t think they care about any of that, they only care about the brand, which is why the iPhone still sells so well.
If you’re considering rooting, I’d say don’t. Rooting is like blowing a hole in the wall of a castle. It breaks the Android security model. A rooted device is insecure and cannot be made secure no matter how many Magisk modules you flash. Do not root a device you do anything important on.
Off - topic but I’m really liking these threads.
Replying with a sarcastic comment.
No it’s not just an American thing. On my carrier I can have unlimited data all I want but hotspot is limited to 5GB/month and I have to pay for more or it goes down to 512Kbps basically unusable.
I bet it’s USB 2.0. Sidenote: DAE hate all cloud transfer options/nearby share/airdrop and just plug in a good old cable like me any time they need to transfer stuff lol?
I got a Pixel 6 Pro second hand from the US recently for GrapheneOS.
Here’s what I like:
What I don’t like:
So yeah overall I’m a happy camper. When this one loses support for GrapheneOS, I’ll be upgrading to another Pixel.
Huh, ok. Well then, fuck you Asus.
Eh. I wouldn’t hold that against them. Reddit or Lemmy is just social media. Just one small aspect in people’s lives. Pretty hard to care about something like Reddit taking away API access when you’ve got much more important things like a job, a social life and a family to care for. Even harder when you only use the official apps.
Good luck trying to enforce that.

Samsung is probably the worst offender in that regard. No bootloader unlock on Snapdragon, bootloader unlock trips Knox on Exynos and disables basic features like the camera on Z Fold 3.
Thanks! I’ll check it out.
I want as much screen as possible but not so big that I can’t fit it into my pocket so i think around 6.7-6.9 would be ideal.
I started getting into True Crime podcasts. So far, I’m liking these
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Most basic Android homescreen ever.
