I can strongly recommend the SponsorBlock extention (also available in revanched).

I was big into downloading before streaming services were a thing. Music streaming is one of the few services that’s totally worth my money: no hassle and I rarely have to resort to other platforms to find what I want (very different from video streaming, which totally sucks when it comes to that).
Netherlands too. Amsterdam is even planning to change major inner city roads to 30km/h (minor roads already are).
Check out the Law of One for some funky spiritual stuff. There might be something in there that makes sense of this reality for you.
It knocked my shoes off
Definitely dead here.
It’s bought by Avast. I immediately uninstalled it when I learned about the news. No way that they don’t want get a return on investment by e.g. selling your data.
Consent-o-matic is better (actually sets the minimum amount of cookies) and is developed by university employees, whom I trust more.
Thanks for the hard work. I’ve cancelled my Patreon and switched to Liberapay.
A DSLR doesn’t fit in your pocket… I’m really happy with my Pixel 6a camera. The night shot mode is really nice. Sure, I can get better shots with my mirrorless and a tripod, but I’m not gonna carry those with me all day (I hardly bring my mirrorless, let alone the tripod).
I haven’t explored other camera apps. I assume they haven’t implemented all the software magic that’s running on that Tensor chip?
Love seeing the fight continues. Hoped to see some fediverse propaganda along with it. However, I’m personally not really interested in taking part in anything that makes me use that website, so it’s understandable.
When smart watches came about I thought it would be cool to be able to look at your watch when a notification comes in. Never ended up buying one and when I see how some people behave, I’m glad I never did. Some people will just glance mid conversation at their smart watch, which imo is just as bad as grabbing your phone mid conversation.
I’m happy with my cheap Casio. Looks heaps better too.
I work in IT and we have truly self steering teams without formal hierarchy. Not everyone is used to it and IT people can be interesting characters, so it’s quite a process to get the team to perform well.
I joined Lemmy 2 years ago and it was pretty much a desert, except for communities like privacy. I left after asking for a feature (a local intance feed, which has been implemented a while back!), because there wasn’t much else to do. Almost forgot about it until the whole reddit fiasco happened. I’m now so thrilled that threaded discussions are taking off in the fediverse!
I was really active on reddit, especially in a local city community. Answering tourist’s questions, posting local news, engaging in many conversations. I knew the regular’s usernames, I am sure many recognized mine. I haven’t posted since I’ve left and it honestly hurts a little, but I can’t go back anymore. Reddit is dead, it just doesn’t realize it yet. I’m happy to be a part of building Lemmy up.
I see some tourists wear one in Amsterdam. Very rarely a local, of which I always assume they’re ill themselves or easily get ill (immunocompromised and what have you).
I doubt Trump puts so much thought into his choice of words.
