seems trivial to check for a login/subscribed etc. then increment up//down votes. why link each vote to an account in public? maybe for mods an account(s) to be banned for botting votes?

it really is comforting to know you can do 99% of stuff you want with PCs without a license from Microsoft. FOSS has its own headaches but at least you don’t have to wade through a PR swamp to fix stupid bugs

rip cds dvds and load to cheap thumb drives for legal backups. distribute to your friends in case you lose your copy. It’s on them if they copy your backups. vlc usually just works as a mobile->car bluetooth source. G broke theirs hoping to charge for it on YTmusic. not a dime mfrs. ha. I use HandBrake for ripping dvds->mp4s, mp3 w/e you need. many other rippers to choose from. open source forever. chrome is just google’s version of that source code. get a working version

sounds like you need newegg.com. I build a new PC every few years and they have most things you want. tom’s hardware usually has reviews and lists. couple sites I can’t remember help with parts compatibility. use the search https://www.newegg.com/
