Started working again 🤷
Not sure why but it seems like every other version breaks the haptic feedback vibration for up votes on my pixel 6a.
Let’s say it’s my religion that I think you should not be allowed to drive because I don’t like you. Now let’s say I work at the DMV and you walk up, should I be allowed to deny you a license because it’s my religion?
Chicken divan. Delicious stuff, easy to make, give it a shot if it looks good to you.
Is it worth it if you don’t have a samsung phone?
A lot more tiktok for me. Say what you will of the platform, it’s at the beginning of the enshittification spectrum and has a ton of original and interesting content.
I do use Lemmy every day too tho.
Thanks for the heads up! Bit out of my price range though.
Yow, they must be doing well their whole website is sold out
The swipe actions on posts and comments no longer vibrate at all for me on pixel 6a. They did with reddit sync. I’m missing that a lot for some reason, good feedback to know which swipe action I’m on, and satisfying for an upvote. I didn’t know there was a difference in vibration motor vs “haptic engine”, but I’m all for more haptic feedback with the swipe actions.
Love obsidian. For something as simple as what OP is asking for though I just use Google Keep
I initially got place holder blank white spaces but later in the day they were filling in with google adsense advertising.
Having paid $6 for reddit sync probably over a decade ago while the dev has maintained and improved the app over those years with no additional money from me, I think I got a pretty good deal. It’s definitely a calculation to make but I don’t think $20 would have been unreasonable a decade ago and I don’t really think it is now. Maybe also dont forget to put some blame on reddit, the dev got fucked there and has to rebuild the customer base that would have included recurring payment customers (unlike me).
Last thread was complaints of not wanting subscriptions this thread is complaints of too expensive 🤷. By all means keep the ads or use another app. Imo it’s not super surprising to be pricey when it’s a one time purchase instead of the subscription.
Bluetooth sleep mask. I’ve had a few and this one has been the best so far.

I’ll see major swings in the algorithm from time to time (a week of bass guitar video recommendations for some reason), but I can usually trace back a video or two that I watched that it just decided to try and cram the topic down my throat. I would just say make sure you keep avoiding the conservative vids to try and get the recommendations to stop. I wonder if maybe one of your kids is watching videos on your account and skewing it?
He’s saying the same talking points at every interview and handling this situation like Chris Licht did before he got fired at CNN, had some ideas for change that people weren’t necessarily against but shove it down their throats with out any finesse or flexibility or fairness and everyone is unhappy and it exposed the true motive. Licht \ CNN was being forced to the right by the owner and billionaire investors, and Reddit is just plain forcing out 3rd party apps (that helped build reddit in the first place, and have been open to paying a reasonable amount for api access) to try and boost revenue. My favorite take on all this is from Arstechnica:
But Reddit’s biggest asset is its community. Charging for its API may be a necessary evil to survive an uncertain future, but Reddit’s attitude against its own community isn’t. Reddit is burning bridges on its quest for cash without showing an ounce of sympathy.
In five minutes!?
